Bar & Café Camellia, located inside The Tokyo Station Hotel within the iconic Marunouchi station building, will be serving the Marunouchi Jikan Cheese Afternoon Tea from June 1 to July 31, 2026. Spotlighting 9 varieties of cheese — including cream cheese, mascarpone, and gorgonzola — every item on the menu incorporates cheese, bringing together American-style sweets and savories for a playful, transatlantic tea experience right in the heart of Tokyo.
The afternoon tea is available for solo guests as well, making it easy to stop by on your own before or after exploring the Marunouchi area, the Imperial Palace grounds, or the nearby museums and galleries.
The star of the sweets selection is the New York Cheesecake, slow-baked in a bain-marie to achieve a silky, moist texture. Made with an original blend of cream cheese and sour cream, it's finished with a colorful array of fresh fruit. Also on the menu is the American Cherry Pie, which layers fromage blanc and custard cream over a rich American cherry paste, topped with fresh cherries. The Green Apple Mousse pairs the refreshing tartness of green apple with a Parmesan cheese sablé base.
For glass dessert fans, the Verrine Café presents chocolate mousse, coffee gelée, and mascarpone cream in elegant layers. The Chocolate Cupcake brings a sophisticated edge thanks to the deep, robust flavor of gorgonzola. Completing the sweets lineup, Cheese Scones feature Grana Padano baked right in and are served with clotted cream and a Noto-grown blueberry confiture — offering a satisfying sweet-and-savory contrast.

On the savory side, Popcorn Shrimp is seasoned generously with Parmesan for an aromatic crunch. The Mini Hamburger sandwiches a Japanese Wagyu beef patty with smoked cheese, served with BBQ sauce. The soul food classic Mac 'n' Cheese Gratin — macaroni combined with cheddar cheese, baked gratin-style — brings a comforting, familiar taste. Roltini & Salami wraps prosciutto and mozzarella together into a light, palate-cleansing bite.
The tea session starts with the original mocktail CHEERS! as a welcome drink. Guests can then enjoy unlimited refills from a six-tea selection by Serendipity — including the special blend FIVE O'CLOCK TEA, a citrusy flavored tea based on smoky Lapsang Souchong blended with colorful fruits — alongside Assam, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Lemon Drop, and Shanghai Rose. A rotating selection of flavored iced teas is also available.
