Tokyo Summerland Opens Its Outdoor Pool Area for Summer on July 4

Tokyo Summerland in Akiruno, Tokyo fully opens its outdoor pool area on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The lineup includes the popular adventure pool "MONSTER STREAM," the water attraction "DEKASLA," the water slide "Towers Rock," and "dobon." Surrounded by water and greenery, the park invites visitors to enjoy a summer adventure.

MONSTER STREAM

Tokyo Summerland's adventure pool

Tokyo Summerland's signature attraction, "MONSTER STREAM," opens again this year.

A combination of the park's popular wave pool and lazy river, it is an adventure-style pool with a new kind of sensation. Surrounded by nature and designed to feel like a mountain stream, its monster-sized currents can be ridden over using a dedicated inner tube.

Story

Lush green mountains thick with trees. A valley enclosed by high, sheer rock walls. The sound of water grows lower and louder. People whisper that "something lives in this gorge." Step into the stream and a powerful flow of water suddenly comes rushing in. Strong and ever-changing as if alive, the current is "like a monster that dwells in the water."

Guests hold on to a dedicated inner tube and set off downriver, taking on an exciting adventure against the monster-like current.

Features

This pool merges the characteristics of a wave pool and a lazy river. Riding over the waves and currents created by large volumes of released water with a dedicated inner tube offers a fresh new experience.

The "LANDERS" Lifeguards in New Uniforms

Tokyo Summerland's lifeguards, "LANDERS," watch over the safety and smiles of guests throughout the vast pool area. This season they wear renewed uniform T-shirts.

The wear offers strong quick-drying performance and freedom of movement in the water, supporting the lifeguards' work as they monitor the waterside and respond to changing weather. The long-sleeve type also helps with sun protection and reducing fatigue. Through the work of "LANDERS," the park aims to share the importance of waterside safety.
