A Special Event Pairing Authentic Edomae Sushi With Sake Selected by Kagoya and Sakadoya
The Japanese-style izakaya 楽㐂 (Rakki) in Toranomon, operated by 2TAPS Co., Ltd., will hold a special sushi-and-sake event called Sushi BOSE (鮨BOSE) for three days only, from Saturday, October 10 to Monday, October 12, 2026 (a national holiday). Built around the concept of enjoying Edomae sushi in a slightly more upscale way, the event was planned in response to customers who wanted to enjoy 楽㐂's sushi on weekends.
The sushi is made with fresh fish selected by the chefs and finished with hand techniques such as aging, marinating, and simmering clams, and it is offered from a single piece at a special price. The event also features pairings with five sake and shochu selections chosen by the prestigious sake shops Kagoya (籠屋, October 10) and Sakadoya (坂戸屋, October 11), offering a refined way to spend a weekend in Toranomon.
Authentic Edomae Sushi and Seasonal Small Plates, Izakaya Style
The heart of the event is Edomae sushi made with fish the chefs select at the market and finish with extra care, along with small plates that bring in autumn flavors. Drawing on 楽㐂's cooking skills, the sample menu includes nigiri such as medium fatty tuna (chutoro), momijidai (sea bream), modori-gatsuo (returning bonito), autumn yellowtail, and simmered conger eel. Small dishes include persimmon and chicken tenderloin shira-ae, duck loin and taro potato salad, Pacific saury kimo (liver) yuan-yaki, Jingoemon taro isobe-age with dried baby sardines, and a clay-pot rice dish with ichibo, mushrooms, and tororo (grated yam). The menu may change depending on ingredient availability.
Instead of a set course, these dishes can be ordered freely from a single piece at a special limited-time price, in the style of an izakaya.

Five Pairings From the Prestigious Sake Shops Kagoya and Sakadoya
During the event, 楽㐂 collaborates with sake shops that are leading figures in Japan's sake and shochu culture.
On Saturday, October 10, Kagoya (籠屋 / 秋元屋) of Komae City, Tokyo, takes part. Founded in 1902 (Meiji 35), the long-established shop proposes local sake and brews craft beer in Komae. On Sunday, October 11, Sakadoya (坂戸屋) of Mizonokuchi, Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, takes part. The shop speaks directly with sake breweries and delivers passionately chosen labels based on its own discerning eye.
Each shop has selected five sake or craft shochu for the event, aiming to bring out the synergy between food and drink with careful pairings matched to the sushi toppings and the flavors of the dashi.
No Set Course Required, Enjoy the Real Flavors at Your Own Pace
Removing the "course only" barrier often found at high-end sushi restaurants, the event offers a free style in which anyone can enjoy sushi at their own pace. It suits a solo drink, picking favorite toppings a piece at a time to go with sake, as well as casual get-togethers with friends or colleagues. Based on the wish for guests to casually experience the real flavors and food culture of sushi made by chefs right in front of them, the sushi is served in the lively, comfortable atmosphere of a Japanese-style izakaya.
