A limited-edition "Torikai Hachimangu Original Tirolian (Salty Vanilla)" has been on sale since Monday, October 19, 2026. It is a collaboration between Torikai Hachimangu (鳥飼八幡宮), a shrine in Imagawa, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, and Chidoriya (株式会社千鳥饅頭総本舗).
Tirolian, a well-known Fukuoka confection, is flavored here with a pinch of "purified salt": Itoshima salt that has been purified at Torikai Hachimangu. Vanilla cream spreads out from inside the light, crisp roll cookie as it crumbles softly, and the salty note balances the sweetness. The product comes in limited packaging and is sold at three locations: Torikai Hachimangu, Chidoriya MARK IS Fukuoka Momochi, and Tirolian Shop Fukuoka Airport.
Itoshima Salt, Purified at Torikai Hachimangu
The salt is from Itoshima, Fukuoka, and the "purified salt" made at Torikai Hachimangu is used only for this product. At shrines, salt has long been valued as something that purifies people and places. The Itoshima salt used to make the Tirolian was placed, still sealed in its cup, on a sanbo (offering stand) and offered before the deity, where it was purified.
Salt born from the sea of Itoshima, purified at a Fukuoka shrine and made into a famous Fukuoka confection: this Tirolian brings together the blessings of Fukuoka.

It can be picked up as a memento of a visit to the shrine, as a small token in place of a charm for yourself, or as a gift for someone special with the wish that "good connections come your way."
Asagi-Colored Limited Package Commemorating the Dedication to Benzaiten
The package was designed to commemorate the completion of Torikai Hachimangu's new kagura hall and the dedication to Benzaiten. Taking cues from Benzaiten, the design uses the "sea" and "water" suggested by the salty vanilla flavor as motifs, giving a cool and sacred impression. The final color is asagi, a clear and refreshing blue-green.
This limited collaboration product is sold at the three locations listed below. In addition to when visiting Torikai Hachimangu to pay respects, it can be picked up at Chidoriya MARK IS Fukuoka Momochi when attending a dome event, or as a souvenir to wrap up a trip.
