Iwatsuki Warabimochi Shop Relaunches as "Torori" with New Brand Identity on June 14

The warabimochi specialty shop near Iwatsuki Station in Saitama City is undergoing a major rebranding on June 14. Previously operating as "Torori Tenshi no Warabimochi Iwatsuki," the shop is relaunching as "Torori," a new brand supervised by Shimada Takashi — known by his nickname "Shimayan" from the TV program "Reiwa no Tora."

The rebrand comes with a new logo and updated packaging, redesigned with a Japanese aesthetic and a sense of refinement. The drink menu has also been significantly expanded, now offering seven varieties including store-exclusive flavors. Customers can adjust the sweetness level to their preference and choose from three topping options: warabimochi, tapioca, or nata de coco.

Nama Warabimochi (Warabi Sanbon / Matcha / Chocolate / Kurozato)

The shop uses rare true warabiko (bracken starch) — only 70 grams can be extracted from 10 kg of mountain bracken root. Through careful refinement of ingredients and cooking methods, the shop has developed a distinctively soft, smooth texture. Each variety is generously topped with kinako (roasted soybean flour), Kyoto-grown matcha, or rich chocolate.

7 Customizable Drinks

A cup that brings together the smooth texture of warabimochi with the shop's carefully crafted drinks. Sweetness can be adjusted to taste, and toppings — warabimochi, tapioca, or nata de coco — can be freely combined. Each drink is ¥780 (tax included).

Acai Bowls

In addition to the warabimochi lineup, acai bowls are also available, topped with fresh fruits including mango, berries, and banana. Four bowl varieties are on offer. Each ¥1,000 (tax included) / Additional toppings +¥100.
