On July 2, 2026 (Thursday), Tottori Prefecture and JA Zen-Noh Tottori will host the "Crispy Sweet Tottori Watermelon — Buy Plenty!" sales event at GranSta Tokyo Square Zero, located on the basement 1st floor inside the JR Tokyo Station gates.
Producers from the Daiei, Kurayoshi, and Kotoura growing regions — all prime Tottori watermelon areas — will sell whole and cut watermelons at their seasonal best. The event will also feature Tottori-made dairy products, sweet-vinegar pickled らっきょう (rakkyo), confectioneries, and other local goods, showcasing the food and sightseeing appeal of Tottori Prefecture.
An opening ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM, where the Tottori Governor (tentative) will promote the prefecture and its watermelons. Tottori's mascot character Torippii will also be on hand for a greeting session.
