Ginza Niigata Information Center THE NIIGATA (Chuo City, Tokyo), a hub for sharing the appeal of Niigata Prefecture, is opening a booth at the Ginza Meiten Yatai food stalls during Yukata de Gin-bura 2026, Ginza's traditional summer event, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
On the day, the booth will sell Niigata's distinctive summer flavors, including Niigata-grown edamame and popular products from local companies, along with Niigata-only beer, sake, and cider. Niigata Prefecture's local mascot Reruhi-san and Ichimasa Kamaboko Co., Ltd.'s character Unajiro-kun will also appear to liven up the venue.
Visitors who stop by the booth will receive an original THE NIIGATA gift, and the store itself is running a separate giveaway for guests who visit wearing a yukata, sharing the appeal of Niigata with everyone visiting Ginza.
Enjoy Niigata's Summer in Ginza
Yukata de Gin-bura is a traditional summer event where visitors stroll around Ginza in yukata and enjoy seasonal happenings. At the Ginza Meiten Yatai stalls, THE NIIGATA will sell edamame, a flavor synonymous with Niigata summers, along with processed foods unique to the prefecture and beverages beloved by the local community.
Niigata Prefecture's symbol character Reruhi-san and Ichimasa Kamaboko Co., Ltd.'s popular character Unajiro-kun are also scheduled to appear. Through photo opportunities and more, the booth will offer something for both children and adults to enjoy.
In addition, inside the facility, guests who visit wearing a yukata will receive a special Yukata de Gin-bura bamboo fan, and guests who bring the fan-shaped Yukata de Gin-bura pamphlet will receive THE NIIGATA wet wipes.
