A new yakiniku restaurant has opened in Meguro, Tokyo, aiming to reimagine the classic "machi yakiniku" (neighborhood yakiniku) experience for a modern adult audience. "Yakiniku Ushimitsu Ichimon Meguro" is operated by ICE Co., Ltd., the company behind a number of sought-after yakiniku establishments in Tokyo, including Nishiazabu Kenshiro, Ushimitsu Ebisu Honten, and Ginza Chikamitsu.
Concept: A Neighborhood Yakiniku Hub for Adults
Ushimitsu Ichimon Meguro positions itself not just as a place to eat, but as a community hub — a spot where people naturally gather after work, on dates, or with friends, and want to return again and again. The restaurant draws on the roots of Japan's yakiniku culture and reconstructs it through a contemporary lens.
Three Signature Experiences
1. Creative "Experience Menus" That Go Beyond Taste
The restaurant has developed a lineup of dishes designed to engage all five senses — and, the team suggests, something beyond.
The "Nomeru (Drinkable)" Series turns familiar yakiniku dishes on their head. The "Drinkable Katsudon" and "Drinkable Roast" are crafted to offer a texture experience unlike anything expected from a yakiniku menu.

The "Mugen (Endless)" Series features the "Adult Endless Roast (Fillet)," served with a sweet-and-savory sauce made from unagi (freshwater eel) glaze — a combination that keeps diners reaching for more.

The "Doraburg" is a playful creation: a hamburger patty sandwiched inside dorayaki (Japanese pancake) buns. It's a lighthearted dish that still takes its ingredients seriously.

2. Full-Attend Entertainment Service
Staff at Ushimitsu Ichimon Meguro provide hands-on support throughout the meal — handling grilling and service while also sharing the stories behind each dish and pointing out the best moments for photos. The aim is to make the dining experience itself feel like entertainment.
3. Japanese Aesthetics Meet Contemporary Atmosphere
The interior blends a chic yakiniku setting with bonsai and seasonal plants to create a sense of Japanese sensibility. The music playlist leans toward hip-hop, R&B, and emotionally resonant tracks, tuned for guests who are attuned to current trends.

The "Marugoto Set" — A Curated Tasting Selection
For guests who want to try all of the restaurant's highlights in one visit, a special "Marugoto Set" (All-In-One Set) is available. It bundles the most popular à la carte items at a better value than ordering individually.
The set includes:
- [Yukhoe] Drinkable Yukhoe with mini rice and Korean seaweed

- [Hot Dish] Kamiya Shoten's salted motsu (offal) stew

- [Salt-Grilled] Assorted tongue (6 slices per person)

- [Meat Dish] Doraburg (Dorayaki Hamburger Sandwich)
- [Sauce-Grilled] Adult Endless Roast and one Endless Series item as a half-and-half platter, with magic shichimi, Japanese mustard vinegar miso sauce, and chive-egg topping
- [Rice Course] Drinkable Katsudon
- [Dessert] Seasonal soft-serve ice cream
