Wakayama Marina City is gearing up for a lively autumn season, with a spectacular fireworks show, an indoor VR attraction, and a seasonal seafood fair all on the calendar.
Highlights include the powerful fireworks show "Starlight Illusion," the indoor "VR Land" where visitors can enjoy a realistic virtual reality world, and Kuroshio Ichiba's gourmet fair "Autumn Flavors Festival," where guests can dig into freshly cut whole tuna and other seasonal seafood.
A discounted set plan combining the free-admission Porto Europa, Kuroshio Ichiba, and Kishu Kuroshio Onsen is also available, making it easy to put together a memorable day out.

Each shop offers autumn-only menus built around seasonal seafood, including seafood rice bowls and sushi. The open-air BBQ terrace overlooking the water is also worth a visit, serving up Kuroshio Ichiba's signature seafood — turban shell, scallops, shrimp, and more — alongside a generous lineup of meats. Kuroshio Ichiba also runs a tuna-cutting show every day (twice on weekdays, three times on weekends and holidays), so visitors can enjoy the catch as sashimi, sushi, or rice bowls straight after it's cut.
