Outdoor brand WAQ has released two new items aimed at making summer outings and outdoor activities more comfortable: the "FIELD WAIST FAN," a portable fan that clips to a waistband and sends air inside clothing, and a new model of the "WAQ Field Umbrella," a foldable all-weather parasol constructed with tent fabric. Both products went on sale May 25, 2026.
As summer heat becomes more intense year by year, demand for practical, portable heat-management gear has grown not only for camping and outdoor sports but also for commuting, walking around town, and outdoor work. The two new products take different approaches to staying cool — channeling airflow through clothing and blocking direct sunlight.
FIELD WAIST FAN
The FIELD WAIST FAN clips onto a belt or waistband and pushes air into the inside of a top, helping to manage body heat during outdoor activities and daily commutes. Because it attaches to the body rather than being held by hand, it can be used freely during camping, festivals, outdoor work, and walks — anywhere both hands need to be free.
The unit weighs approximately 330 g and is designed to be easy to carry day-to-day. In addition to its main fan function, it includes a supplemental cooling plate that can be pressed against the forehead or neck for an instant cooling sensation.
Battery life reaches up to approximately 24 hours of continuous use, making it suitable for extended outings. The fan offers five airspeed settings with a maximum airspeed of 8.5 m/s. Additional features include a built-in light (460 lumens) and a mobile battery function.

WAQ Field Umbrella — 2 Sizes and 3 Colors
The WAQ Field Umbrella is a foldable all-weather parasol built with the same high-performance fabric used in tents. The previous model sold out in about one month following its launch, with approximately 3,000 units sold.
The 2026 model comes in two sizes — Regular and Large — and three colors: Coyote, Charcoal, and Gray. The fabric uses a complete blackout coating, achieving 100% UV protection, 100% light-blocking performance, and a UPF rating of 50+. The umbrella is also rated for rain, with a water pressure resistance of 2,000 mm and a water repellency rating of Grade 4, making it suitable for sudden showers.
Opening and closing is handled by a single button, keeping it easy to use while carrying bags or on the move.
