Restaurant Symphony on the 26th floor of The Westin Sendai (Aoba Ward, Sendai) will be offering "Afternoon Tea -Green Melon-" from Saturday, May 16 through Friday, July 17, 2026. Inspired by the fresh greens of early summer, the menu is built around the sweetness and aroma of Nishijima Mask Melon sourced from Kochi Prefecture.
The three-tier tea stand features a visually striking range of sweets in green, orange, and white, led by a melon parfait, melon and lychee mousse, and a classic melon shortcake — each delivering a distinct texture and flavor. A whole-wheat scone blended with melon flesh and a Crème d'Anjou finished with melon sauce add a softer, more delicate touch to the selection.

The savory lineup complements the sweets with a light prosciutto melon and blini, anago (sea eel) fritto with melon and myoga pickles, a Wagyu ragout and avocado sandwich, a chilled coconut melon soup, beef tongue pâté with green pea mousse, and chilled soba noodles served with tomato jelly, mozzarella, and basil.

On weekends, a special roast beef course featuring Miyagi Prefecture's Kurihara-raised black Wagyu is also served, accompanied by asparagus and a green pepper sauce.

The afternoon tea comes with a choice of 16 drinks, including original mocktails, original coffee, JING TEA, and Ronnefeldt tea selections.
