The Westin Yokohama's third-floor buffet restaurant, Pacific Table, is set to launch a Matcha Garden Dessert Buffet starting May 11, 2026. Running through June 30, the weekday-only event presents an extensive lineup of matcha sweets arranged around a striking Japanese garden display.

At the center of the setup is a signature bowl—about one meter in diameter—that has been a highlight of the restaurant's current strawberry buffet. This time, it takes on a Japanese garden theme, with a piece of DRY BONSAI as its focal point. DRY BONSAI is a form of regenerative art that breathes new life into once-withered bonsai trees, gaining attention both in Japan and abroad. The concept aligns naturally with the hotel's Green Key certification and its commitment to sustainable practices.

Among the sweets on offer are matcha ganache and milk chocolate pops shaped like wildflowers, and matcha chocolate baked donuts decorated as ladybugs—each balancing the bittersweet notes of matcha with the richness of chocolate. The tiramisu features matcha and mango, while the chocolate tart is paired with matcha and red bean paste, offering some unexpected flavor combinations.

Traditional Japanese sweets also get a matcha makeover: daifuku, shiratama shake, and warabi mochi are all given a matcha twist, putting a fresh spin on familiar favorites.

Beyond matcha, the buffet incorporates other teas into the dessert lineup. A banana financier carries the toasty aroma of roasted green tea (genmaicha), while an almond milk pudding blends oolong tea with lychee for a hint of exotic flavor. White tea—the hotel's signature scent—is crafted into an original blended jelly.

A matcha chocolate fondue is also available at each table for an additional charge, served with marshmallows and dried mango for dipping.
