Sanrio Puroland, operated by Sanrio Entertainment Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Tama, Tokyo; President and CEO: Aya Komaki), is holding "WISH ME MELL 15TH ANNIVERSARY," an event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the popular Sanrio character WISH ME MELL, from September 18, 2026 (Friday) through March 31, 2027 (Wednesday).
WISH ME MELL is a rabbit girl who helps deliver mail in メルシーヒルズ, having been inspired by a friend who once brought her an important letter. Taking "letters" as its keyword, the anniversary event brings together a range of content designed to make guests want to send an important "feeling" to someone they care about, or to themselves.
To mark the 15th anniversary, WISH ME MELL debuts a special new costume covered in her favorite ribbons. In the new outfit, she can be met through a high-five greeting, a photo session on the Chie no Ki Stage, and a birthday live (paid, reservation required). Artist Mai Kuraki will make a guest appearance on the first day of the birthday live, September 19 (Saturday); she has appeared in the WISH ME MELL world since 2011 as the popular Japanese singer "Mai Mai," and will once again help liven up the celebration. A number of other opportunities for guests to celebrate directly with WISH ME MELL are also planned throughout the event.
The 4F WISH ME MELL photo spot is also getting a renewal, adding a mailbox where guests can post letters to WISH ME MELL and her メルシーヒルズ friends, alongside a photo spot themed around her hometown's atmosphere. A WISH ME MELL flower garden will also appear in the flower bed in front of the Puroland entrance.
The event further includes anniversary merchandise such as plush toys in the special costume, matching headbands and tippets that fans can wear alongside WISH ME MELL, and limited-time 15th anniversary sweets. Additional content includes an SNS campaign and, in a collaboration with Sanrio Character Park Harmonyland (Hiji, Oita) — which is holding its own "WISH ME MELL 15TH ANNIVERSARY" event from the same day — an online quiz that tells guests which メルシーヒルズ friend matches their personality type.

WISH ME MELL Debuts a New Ribbon-Covered Costume at Puroland
WISH ME MELL unveils a special new costume filled with her favorite ribbons. The dress is styled in aurora colors evoking メルシーヒルズ, the town where she lives, and is paired with a rainbow-colored pannier that matches her signature "rainbow tail." A stylish ribbon has also been added to her neck fur, completing a costume befitting the celebration.
WISH ME MELL is scheduled to appear in her new costume at the high-five greeting and other events.
A Lineup of Events for Celebrating the Anniversary in Person
During the event period, Puroland is offering a number of ways for guests to celebrate WISH ME MELL's anniversary in person: a high-five greeting called "WISH ME MELL 15TH ANNIVERSARY High-Five Greeting," and a photo session on the Chie no Ki Stage called "WISH ME MELL 15TH ANNIVERSARY Photo Session." Renewed WISH ME MELL Photo Spot Brings Her Hometown to Life
The 4F WISH ME MELL photo spot reopens after a renewal. In addition to a photo spot themed around メルシーヒルズ, the town where WISH ME MELL lives, a mailbox has been added where guests can post letters to WISH ME MELL and her メルシーヒルズ friends, offering a fuller experience of her world.
The flower bed in front of the Puroland entrance also now features a WISH ME MELL flower garden, with flowers grown by WISH ME MELL and her メルシーヒルズ friends welcoming guests.
Online Quiz and SNS Campaign Mark the 15th Anniversary
An online quiz will launch that reveals which "メルシーヒルズ friend" matches a guest's personality after answering a few simple questions. メルシーヒルズ is home to talented exchange students from around the world, and the quiz picks out the character best suited to each guest's personality and type from this colorful group of friends. Guests are encouraged to share their results on social media and enjoy the anniversary together with friends and other fans.

A joint campaign between Puroland and Harmonyland adds another way to enjoy the quiz: showing the results screen to a staff member wearing a WISH ME MELL 15TH ANNIVERSARY rosette may bring a little something extra.
An SNS campaign, "Send Your Feelings to WISH ME MELL — Message Collection," is also being held, inviting fans to post messages to WISH ME MELL on social media as a participatory way to celebrate the anniversary together.
