Gotenyama Trust City, a 10-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, will host "YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO in Gotenyama," an event celebrating the charms of sake regions across Japan. Organized by Mori Trust, this is the third installment of the "YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO" series, following events held in Kamiyacho in May 2026 and Akasaka in September 2026.
More than 15 kinds of sake will be gathered, including celebrated brews from the Kansai region and craft gin from Fukushima Prefecture. Set in Gotenyama, an area with deep ties to sake history, the event offers a chance to experience the sake culture and regional charm of different parts of Japan.
Third Installment's Theme: Kansai Sake Tied to Shinagawa-juku
The Gotenyama area borders Shinagawa-juku, the gateway post town of Edo-era Tokyo. During the Edo period, high-quality sake known as "kudarizake," brewed in the Kamigata region (Kansai), was shipped to Edo, and this area played a role in supporting the development of sake culture. In honor of that historical connection, this event centers on celebrated sake from the Kansai region.
Since Gotenyama has ties to the Tokugawa clan, the lineup includes sake from Wakayama Prefecture — home of the Kishu Tokugawa family, one of the three principal Tokugawa branches — such as the popular KID Junmai Daiginjo, and Saika Junmai Daiginjo Yamada Nishiki, a multiple gold medal winner at the Kura Master sake competition in Paris, France. From Kyoto Prefecture comes Junmai Ginjo TAMA, a new-style sake brewed with wine yeast, while Nara Prefecture — said to be the birthplace of seishu (refined sake) — offers the traditional Yoshinosugi no Taruzake, prized for its cedar aroma. Fukushima Prefecture, known as one of Japan's leading sake-producing areas, will also offer craft gin made with botanicals from plants native to Japan. Together with the celebrated sake of Kansai, visitors can enjoy the diverse charms of Japan's sake culture.
An Event Series Born From Mori Trust's Regional Revitalization Network
The Mori Trust Group has built a network with local governments and regional businesses nationwide through initiatives such as the regional co-creation project "CoCo JAPAN" and the general tourist information center "TIC TOKYO." This event series introduces the businesses and regional specialties encountered through these efforts to an urban audience.

Four-Area Touring Campaign
The "YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO" series began in Kamiyacho in May 2026 and continues across four central Tokyo areas — Akasaka, Gotenyama, and Marunouchi.
At the venue, a "YORIMICHI Starter Set" (an original event masu cup plus 3 sake tickets) will be sold for ¥2,500 (tax included). Visitors can carry the fragrant wooden masu cup from booth to booth for an experience reminiscent of touring sake breweries around the country, all in the middle of the city.
The series also includes a digital stamp rally spanning the four areas. Collecting stamps at the Kamiyacho, Akasaka, and Gotenyama venues, plus the upcoming Marunouchi venue, enters visitors into a drawing for regional specialty prizes. Those who purchase the original masu cup also receive a same-day discount on sake tickets, offering more opportunities to enjoy sake culture from across Japan.

About the Shinagawa Gotenyama Area
The Shinagawa Gotenyama area served as a post town along the Tokaido during the Edo period. During the era of the 8th Tokugawa shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune, it was opened to the public as a place to enjoy the changing seasons, and its role as a gathering place for ordinary people is depicted in works by ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Hiroshige, among others. Today, despite being located in the heart of Shinagawa, Gotenyama remains lush with greenery and is cherished as a place of relaxation for the surrounding community.
