A BATHING APE (BAPE) is set to release the SENJAFUDA COLLECTION starting Saturday, June 27, 2026, at authorized A BATHING APE stores.
The collection draws inspiration from senjafuda — small wooden or paper votive tablets traditionally offered at shrines and temples inscribed with the donor's name or shop crest. In Edo-period Japan, senjafuda became a popular form of self-expression among townspeople and a medium for social interaction.
This collection reinterprets the distinctive Edo aesthetic and sensibility seen in senjafuda through a modern lens, reimagining it as streetwear. Traditional motifs are updated through BAPE's perspective, merging Edo culture with street culture.
