Rebranding Background
APA Hotel Komatsu Grand opened in 1986 as APA Hotel's second property (originally named Komatsu Grand Hotel), in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the birthplace of the APA Group. With a banquet hall, spa, and other facilities, it has long served not only overnight guests but also as a gathering place for local residents. This year marks the APA Group's 55th anniversary and the hotel's 40th anniversary, and a large-scale renewal into the "APA Hotel STAY" brand has been decided with the aim of keeping the property loved for decades to come. While carrying on its tradition as a place for community exchange, the hotel is being reborn as a next-generation stay destination offering new value and experiences.
The "APA Hotel STAY" Brand Concept
A hotel stay that engages the five senses, combining an all-inclusive APA experience, a full-scale sauna, and a local breakfast
"APA Hotel STAY" is a new APA Hotel brand launched in 2024, and this will be the brand's second property nationwide, following APA Hotel STAY Toyama. Going beyond the conventional APA Hotel format, it combines an "all-inclusive service" built into the room rate with a "free breakfast buffet" for enjoying the region's food culture with all five senses, and full-scale sauna facilities, forming a new style of hotel brand. It is designed so guests can make the stay itself the purpose of the trip, offering an experience that leaves both mind and body satisfied.

The pentagon symbol mark represents five categories of all-inclusive services, one for each of the five senses:
- Check-in — Amenity bar, water server
- Lounge — Welcome drinks, snacks, ice cream, alcohol, APA President's Curry
- Guest Room — Unlimited free movies and anime via VOD
- Relaxation — Full-scale sauna, comics and magazines, massage chairs, and more
- Breakfast — A breakfast buffet featuring local ingredients
Spa Area: Spa & Sauna "Itadaki" / Rest Space "Fumoto"
The spa area on the 4th and 5th floors is being fully renovated into an entirely new facility. Spa & Sauna "Itadaki," which features full-scale sauna equipment, will include a large sauna room with an auto-loyly function, a private self-loyly sauna room for a more secluded sauna experience, a cold plunge bath, and ample indoor and outdoor relaxation space, offering what the STAY brand describes as its "ultimate space to unwind." Alongside the sauna, an indoor bath and an open-air bath will also be available, with the aim of satisfying a wide range of guests.
In the anteroom to the men's and women's communal baths, Rest Space "Fumoto" has been set up as a place to soothe mind and body before and after the sauna. A fireplace sits at the center of the space, and guests can freely use massage chairs and a library of comics and magazines.
*A bath-only usage plan (paid, time-limited) is also planned for the spa area.
*Due to the renovation work, the communal baths will be closed for business until the rebrand opening.

Restaurant & Lounge "Ren"
The 2nd-floor Restaurant & Lounge "Ren" is a multi-purpose common space usable in a variety of ways. Guests can enjoy free welcome drinks (coffee, soft drinks, etc.), snacks, and ice cream, alcoholic drinks* in the evening, and APA President's Curry as a late-night snack. In the morning, the hotel serves a breakfast buffet of more than 60 dishes built around the theme of local, seasonal ingredients, including dishes such as "seafood chirashi over a single scoop of rice," "steamed pork belly and local vegetables from Omicho Market in colorful bamboo baskets," and "tori-yasai miso hot pot," a soul food of Ishikawa Prefecture. Guests can also enjoy the hotel's signature "daily seafood fritter" (firefly squid, sweet shrimp, and marinated yellowtail), fried fresh in front of guests.
*Some alcoholic drinks are available for an additional charge.

In-House Facilities and Services
A "mini convenience store" and a "24-hour fitness area" are planned for the 1st floor. The rebrand opening will also bring in a range of other facilities and services for a more comfortable stay, including a free-to-use coin laundry (free washing, paid drying), an amenity bar, and free water servers on every guest room floor.
