An urban pickleball court is opening in the heart of Marunouchi. ASICS is running "ASICS PICKLEBALL CONNECT" at Tokyo Building TOKIA from October 31 to December 27, 2026, a limited-time project of about two months. The site has two full-size courts, set up for first-time players as well as those who want to play more seriously.
The venue is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, so it can fit around different daily schedules. Because the courts are in a roofed galleria, play is not affected by the weather.
The courts are designed to express an urban, refreshing look, and a photo spot beside the courts offers a stylish backdrop for souvenir photos and social media posts. The project aims to make physical activity feel closer to people who work in Marunouchi and those visiting the area. ASICS says that bringing the courts to a place where so many people work and pass through reflects its wish to make sports something people can enjoy casually in everyday life.

- Payments at the venue are cashless only. Cash is not accepted.
- OneASICS members, and anyone who adds the official ASICS LINE account, can use rental shoes free of charge for the duration of their booking.
- Only indoor shoes with "NON-MARKING" printed on the sole can be used on the courts. If your shoes do not have this marking, please use the rental shoes.

SOLUTION SPEED FF 4 Series
A tennis shoe developed for players who want speed and agility. The midsole (the cushioning layer between the upper and the outsole) uses the lightweight cushioning foam FLYTEFOAM, keeping the shoe light while providing comfortable cushioning. A resin reinforcement part called SPEEDTRUSS adds stability and supports quick acceleration. The upper is designed to hold the laces firmly in place, preventing them from breaking during intense movement.

GEL-RESOLUTION X Series
A tennis shoe designed for sideways movement and for stability and comfort at ground contact. Different cushioning foams in the front and rear of the midsole raise cushioning while keeping the shoe stable. The DYNAWALL construction, with wall-like resin parts around the outside of the shoe, supports the foot during side-to-side movement and helps with quick changes of direction. The upper features DYNALACING, a structure linked to the laces that fits to the movement of the foot.

GAME FF PICKLEBALL Series
A pickleball shoe for players who want lightweight, flexible, speedy performance. The upper uses open mesh for breathability, keeping the feet cool and comfortable. Synthetic leather and PU (polyurethane) film layered over the mesh provide stability that can handle sudden changes of direction during play.

What Is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a racket sport that originated in the United States and combines elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. It is played on a court one size smaller than a tennis court, using a perforated plastic ball and a paddle (a flat, board-like racket). Rallies are easy to sustain even for people with little exercise experience, and the sport is spreading in Japan as one that people of all generations can enjoy.
ASICS and Pickleball
ASICS has run a pickleball business in the United States since 2021 and has since expanded it to Asia. In Japan, it rents shoes at pickleball facilities, mainly in Tokyo, and takes part in the domestic team league "PX LEAGUE" as a team owner, competing as "ASICS Sevens."
ASICS plans to keep widening the ways people can get involved in pickleball beyond selling products, including providing places and communities. During the project period, an event combining running and pickleball is also planned, with details to be announced once decided.
