Caffarel, an Italian chocolate brand established in Turin in 1826, is opening a new store at the Daimaru Kobe department store on Wednesday, March 18. The brand is recognized as the originator of "Gianduja," a chocolate made by generously blending in hazelnuts. Even today, Caffarel's chocolates reflect the 200-year history of Italian chocolate-making.
The Caffarel Kitano main shop in Kobe has been selected as one of the "Tabelog Sweets WEST 100 Best Restaurants," a testament to its acclaimed reputation.
Fresh Cakes Available Exclusively at Daimaru Kobe
The new Daimaru Kobe location will carry fresh cakes — and this is the only Caffarel store outside the Kitano main shop where fresh cakes can be purchased. The cakes feature the rich, deep flavors characteristic of a specialty chocolate shop.
