Starting March 13 (Friday), a fully automated cotton candy vending machine called "CANDY SPIN" (キャンディスピン) is now operating at Aeon Mall Urawa Misono in Saitama City. The machine produces colorful, photogenic cotton candy and is operated by Nakazawa Co., Ltd., which runs the watch specialty store Time Station NEO on the mall's 3rd floor. This is the 19th franchise location for CANDY SPIN across Japan.
A Fun Twist on Classic Cotton Candy
CANDY SPIN's cotton candy is supervised by a popular rainbow cotton candy shop in Harajuku. Customers can choose from 24 colorful designs — including hearts, flowers, bears, and mushrooms — and the machine produces the finished treat in approximately 2 minutes. The four available flavors are strawberry (pink), lemon (yellow), soda (light blue), and plain (white). Each serving is priced at ¥500 (tax included), with payment accepted via 100-yen or 500-yen coins as well as various QR code options including PayPay, Rakuten Pay, Merpay, AEON Pay, au PAY, d Pay, Bank Pay, Alipay, Alipay+, WeChat Pay, and JKOPAY.
The machine is located on the 3rd floor at the Food Court entrance, in front of Foodstee Mini.
The Process Is Fun to Watch
Watching cotton candy being formed automatically is a draw for both children and adults. At other locations, visitors have noted how captivating it is to see kids staring intently as their treat takes shape — and many find themselves reaching for their phones to record the moment. At Aeon Mall Sapporo Hassamu, the machine has even drawn lines throughout the day.
