Cocos, the family restaurant chain operated by Zensho Holdings, is hosting its annual "Choco Mint Party Fair" from Thursday, May 14. The seasonal fair returns with five choco mint desserts that pair the refreshing flavor of mint with the richness of chocolate — along with the comeback of the intensely cooling "Super Soosy Sauce," now powered up to version 2.0.
The lineup includes a standout big parfait, a gateau chocolat, a frappe (available for takeout), a mini parfait, and a simple choco mint ice cream. The fair is scheduled to run until late June at approximately 504 locations across Japan. Airport locations are excluded.
Choco Mint Party Parfait — ¥1,090 (tax incl. ¥1,199)

The star item of the fair is a generous big parfait built around choco mint ice cream. The top is layered with choco mint ice cream, rich Belgian chocolate ice cream, and chocolate brownies, then decorated with maraschino cherries, colorful chocolate sprinkles, and pale blue choco mint crunch for a vivid finish.
Inside, crunchy cocoa biscuit chips, mildly sweet mint panna cotta, and whipped cream are stacked in layers. Mint jelly adds a cool, refreshing appearance and texture. A separate mint sauce — described as even more refreshing than last year's version — comes on the side for guests to add as they like.
The parfait pairs particularly well with "Uva" tea, which has a clean, menthol-like quality.
Note: The accompanying mint sauce is not the "Super Soosy Sauce 2.0."
Choco Mint Gateau Chocolat — ¥550 (tax incl. ¥605)

A moist, rich-tasting gateau chocolat topped with choco mint ice cream, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. Chocolate sprinkles add a colorful accent, while mint sauce and chocolate sauce on the plate complement the dessert's intense chocolate flavor. "Darjeeling" tea, known for its refreshing aroma, is recommended as a pairing.
Choco Mint Frappe — ¥590 dine-in (tax incl. ¥649)

A choco mint frappe topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and cocoa biscuit chips. Stirring well combines the rich chocolate sauce, crunchy cocoa biscuit chips, and smooth mint jelly into the frappe, creating an evolving mix of flavors and textures. "Keemun (Qimen black tea)," characterized by its sweet floral aroma and mellow taste, makes a fitting partner for the cooling frappe.
This is the only item in the fair available for takeout. Online ordering through the Cocos takeout service offers a 10% discount: https://rsv.cocos.jp/
Note: Takeout pricing is subject to a different tax rate.
Mini! Choco Mint Party Parfait — ¥490 (tax incl. ¥539)

A compact version of the signature parfait topped with choco mint ice cream, Belgian chocolate ice cream, and choco mint crunch. Mint panna cotta and mint jelly in soft mint green add a cool visual touch. Pairing with "Shincha" (new harvest green tea), which carries a fresh, clean aroma, is suggested.
Choco Mint Ice — ¥330 (tax incl. ¥363)

A straightforward serving of classic choco mint ice cream, accompanied by a chocolate brownie for added richness. "Jasmine tea," with its floral fragrance and clean finish, is the recommended drink pairing.
Super Soosy Sauce 2.0 — ¥100 (tax incl. ¥110)

Responding to requests for an even more intense experience, the "Super Soosy Sauce" returns this year in an upgraded form. Made with peppermint, the sauce delivers a strikingly strong cooling sensation — adding it gradually is advised. It also goes well drizzled into milk or cocoa drinks that pair naturally with mint.
Note: Due to the use of peppermint, this sauce is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, infants, the elderly, or anyone with health concerns.
Premium Drink Bar — Seasonal Shincha (New Harvest Green Tea)
Cocos's "Premium Drink Bar" features a seasonal addition: "Shincha," the first flush of the year's green tea harvest. The fresh, lightly grassy aroma of new harvest tea combines well with the mint-forward desserts on the menu for an added cooling effect.
Available at approximately 504 locations (as of May 8). Not available at airport stores. Sales are planned to end in late June. Only the Choco Mint Frappe is available for takeout. Mint ingredients include peppermint flavoring.
