Ehomaki, the rolled sushi eaten whole on Setsubun, is said to have originated from a custom in Senba, Osaka's merchant district, where people would bite into rolled sushi while praying for business prosperity. At Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store, located in the food-rich city of Osaka, ehomaki has become a seasonal tradition for Setsubun. From fresh seafood ingredients from fish specialty stores to ethnic-style variations, a wide variety is available.
