Gion Tsujiri, a tea specialty shop founded in 1860, and its tea parlor brand Saryo Tsujiri are launching a special spring event at the Daimaru Shinsaibashi store to commemorate the store's 300th anniversary. Running from March 6, 2026, this limited-time celebration brings together exceptional taste, experience, and presentation to welcome the spring season.
For generations, Gion Tsujiri and Saryo Tsujiri's tea and tea sweets have been beloved across all ages. The limited-time offerings include "Ranman" (Full Bloom), a spectacular parfait celebrating Daimaru Shinsaibashi's 300th anniversary with blooming flowers, and "Haru no Utage" (Spring Feast), a three-tiered celebration of adult hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spirit served alongside tea sweets.
The Ranman parfait combines rich, deep matcha flavor with elegant spring ingredients including fragrant sakura ice cream and sweet-tart strawberries, creating a memorable presentation that delights both the eyes and heart. Each parfait comes with a special Daimaru Shinsaibashi 300th Anniversary "Phoenix" coaster, making it a stunning visual treat worthy of capturing in photos.
The Spring Feast, reminiscent of traditional hanami picnic boxes, carefully presents a harmony of nostalgic and contemporary flavors in a three-tiered box and glass. This special set suits both family gatherings and adult conversations alike.
During the event period, the counter will also feature demonstrations of "SAKURA Sencha" tea preparation. Through the artful movements and spreading aroma of tea-making, guests can experience the depth of tea culture and the elegance of spring with all five senses.
Tea time brings people together, gently connecting individuals and generations. Guests are invited to enjoy Gion Tsujiri's unique spring offerings at the store.

"Ranman" (Full Bloom)
Daimaru Shinsaibashi Exclusive - Limited Time Only

Symbolizing spring's celebration, this parfait creates an especially gorgeous presence. The delicate, feather-like tuile is inspired by the "phoenix," the symbol of Daimaru Shinsaibashi.
Begin by scooping the fluffy sakura cream with this rice tuile, shaped like a wing, as a gentle fragrance spreads and the flavor experience unfolds.
Below awaits a charming sakura macaron, fresh strawberries, and chewy white dango (rice dumplings) arranged in three colors like traditional sanshoku dango.
At the center sits Gion Tsujiri's signature rich matcha ice cream. Its dignified umami and slight bitterness balance the sweet ingredients, adding depth to the overall flavor.
Further down, gentle sweetness from sakura ice cream and sweet red bean paste combines with fragrant streusel for textural contrast.
At the bottom of the glass rests a transparent sakura jelly, allowing the spring aftertaste to gently linger until the last spoonful.
This spring landscape stands approximately 300mm tall, rising gorgeously and gracefully as a special celebration of spring.

"Haru no Utage" (Spring Feast)
Daimaru Shinsaibashi Exclusive - Limited Time Only

Spring colors are carefully packed into white tiered boxes. This "Spring Feast" elevates Saryo Tsujiri's flavors, beloved for three generations, into a special set worthy of this anniversary spring.

The first tier features "Tsujiri Inari" made with rice mixed with tencha (stone-ground tea leaves). The soft green color adds a spring-like vibrancy.

The second tier includes white dango coated with arare (rice crackers) for a "mochi-kari" (mochi-crispy) texture, rolled omelet, and bite-sized simmered vegetables. These somehow nostalgic yet refined flavors gently accompany adult palates.

The third tier presents a sakura Mont Blanc garnished with sakura leaves, layering spring's elegance onto familiar Japanese sweets.

The soup bowl contains nanohana (rapeseed blossoms) and bamboo shoots. Their seasonal bitterness evokes the changing seasons.

The glass holds sakura jelly and tencha ice cream, developed to commemorate Daimaru Shinsaibashi's opening. Combined with the gently sweet hojicha jelly that has been loved for years, these new ingredients layer together to express flavors that connect generations. The presentation is topped with a matcha chocolate piece resembling a wax seal.
Nostalgia and novelty meet within the same tiered box—a spring expression that only a tea parlor loved across three generations could create. This set delivers dignified spring moments for both adult conversations and family gatherings.
