FAV LUX Nagoya Marunouchi, a new hotel in Nagoya's Marunouchi area, will open in April 2027. FHG hotels Co., Ltd., part of the Kasumigaseki Capital Group, will open the hotel, and reservations are now being accepted on the official booking site and various travel booking sites.
Nagoya, with a population of about 2.3 million, is the central city of the Chubu region. Tourism and lodging demand keep growing, but many hotels in the city center mainly offer single and twin rooms, so spending the night in the same room as the people you care about is still a limited option in the city.
The hotel stands right in the middle of the city, within easy reach of Fushimi, Sakae and Nagoya Station, and is about a two-minute walk from Marunouchi Station on the subway. About half of its 59 rooms are bunk-bed rooms that sleep up to six guests. The top floor has a guests-only sauna, cold plunge and outdoor-air terrace where guests can look up at the sky between the buildings, and sauna suites let guests enjoy the whole sauna experience inside their rooms.
Guests can head out into the city or spend their time at the hotel, which widens the choices for a trip.
Guest Rooms: Up to Six Guests, One Room for the Night
According to the hotel, unlike in Tokyo and Osaka, hotels in central Nagoya where three or more guests can share a room are still limited, and this hotel is meant to offer the option of staying together in a spacious room.
The main room type is the bunk room, which sleeps up to six guests. Guests can keep chatting after the lights go out and talk about tomorrow's plans from bed to bed, so the room becomes the place where the most memorable moments of the trip happen rather than a place where the group splits up. The rooms suit families, groups of friends, girls' trips and three-generation trips, as well as stays with a reason to get together, such as birthday parties, anniversaries and fan activities (oshi-katsu). Every room has enough space to unpack comfortably and a refined interior, and the hotel as a whole can accommodate up to 289 guests.
The hotel also has two types of sauna suites, with a sauna, cold plunge and jacuzzi inside the room. Guests can enjoy a fully private "totonou" (the refreshed, balanced state that follows a sauna session) without having to think about anyone else.

Shared Areas: Rooftop Spa and Sauna Under the Open Sky
Nagoya is an advanced sauna city that sauna fans around the country call a "holy land," with well-known facilities such as ウェルビー栄 and SaunaLab, a Finnish-sauna-themed facility popular with women. However, while day-use sauna culture has matured, hotels with a proper sauna are still not common.
On the 12th floor, the top floor, FAV LUX Nagoya Marunouchi has a guests-only sauna, cold plunge and outdoor-air terrace. The hybrid sauna combines Finnish-style and モリス式 saunas, and guests wear swimsuits so that friends can sweat side by side. Stepping out onto the terrace with a warm body, guests find an unexpectedly wide sky between the buildings. Without watching the clock, they can hear the bustle of the city somewhere in the distance and enjoy "totonou" in the center of Nagoya.
