Italy's leading luxury furniture brand FLEXFORM, in collaboration with FFJ Co., Ltd., is set to open a new flagship store, "FLEXFORM TOKYO," in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The new FLEXFORM TOKYO flagship embodies FLEXFORM's pursuit of timeless elegance and Italian craftsmanship across a three-floor showroom filled with natural light. Each piece of furniture is positioned to quietly highlight its own presence and beauty.
Carefully selected materials, refined proportions, and artisanal handiwork in every detail — along with a comfort that can only be truly felt by touching and resting in the pieces — are at the heart of the new FLEXFORM TOKYO. The store invites visitors to experience the serene elegance and unparalleled comfort born from the craftsmanship that has been handed down since FLEXFORM's founding in 1959, alongside a timeless design sensibility that transcends eras.
The new store also marks the first introduction in Japan of FLEXFORM's 2026 concept, "The Private Lives of Objects — Beloved Things We Live With," which was unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026. The latest collections by Antonio Citterio, Fumie Shibata, Patrick Norguet, and Sebastian Herkner will be on display alongside this concept.

The Private Lives of Objects — Beloved Things We Live With

FLEXFORM's new concept for 2026, "The Private Lives of Objects," carries with it the idea of experiencing furniture not merely as objects to own, but as presences that accompany people through life. Quietly witnessing everyday life, accompanying us through the various moments of our lives, and sharing in the stories and memories we accumulate — through this accumulation of time, furniture gradually becomes an irreplaceable part of the home. The new flagship store translates this concept into the space itself.
The furniture displays are arranged to let each piece stand on its own, allowing visitors to sense the texture of materials, the form, precise proportions, the artisanship in each detail, and the inherent beauty of every piece. Inside the showroom filled with natural light, visitors can move through three floors connected by a beautiful glass staircase, experiencing the world of FLEXFORM. The space, where refinement and warmth quietly harmonize, expresses the timeless elegance and spirit of Italian craftsmanship that the brand has long pursued.
The new FLEXFORM TOKYO crafts intimate living scenes across three floors, using a sensitive combination of materials, colors, and furniture.
On the basement level (B1F), the space is centered around the modular sofa "LOUNGESCAPE" by Antonio Citterio, composing a living scene where relaxation and conversation arise naturally. The soft curves, organic volume, and the inclined base that imparts a sense of lightness achieve a balance of strong presence and comfort. The furniture quietly resonates with each other, forming a living room as the heart of the home.
On the first floor (1F), the latest collections unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026 are featured prominently. At the center is the new modular sofa "QUINCY" by Antonio Citterio. A monolithic structure forms a seamless, enveloping shell that cradles seat cushions generously stuffed with soft feathers. This iconic detail delivers an unexpected level of comfort and a gentle sense of being held, nurturing moments of relaxation and conversation where people naturally gather.
On the second floor (2F), furniture of distinct characters harmonize to compose a composed living scene. "GROUNDPIECE," which proposed a new way of living about 25 years ago and has been beloved over many years, is one of FLEXFORM's defining long-sellers. Its soft and deep cushions create a comfort that invites visitors to lean back and linger. The sculptural armrests covered in cowhide leather add a definitive presence to the interior. Completing the space is "ENN," an elegant and refined table by Fumie Shibata. Its quality craftsmanship combining wood and cowhide leather speaks to FLEXFORM's outstanding artisanship.
Throughout the showroom, different design sensibilities quietly resonate within the intimate living scenes depicted by "The Private Lives of Objects — Beloved Things We Live With." "GINGER" brings a restrained and timeless elegance, while "LOUISE" adds a light presence through a refined combination of leather and glass.
Within these diverse sensibilities, Fumie Shibata's design also breathes through "ERI" and "SORETO." "ERI," inspired by the elegantly raised collar of a jacket, brings a gentle, enveloping form and cushions generously filled with goose down, creating a calm and comfortable presence in the living space. "SORETO," derived from the Japanese word "それと" (and also), explores the role of objects that quietly accompany daily life. The mirror and バレットスタンド connect the space and everyday gestures with elegance and modesty, gradually becoming part of the intimate landscape of the home.
