B0.5F Market of Love and Madness: New Installation "Bonsai of Reflected Light"

A new installation, Bonsai of Reflected Light (鏡耀の松 / きょうようのまつ), by artist/filmmaker/art director yooolk goes on display at the entrance of Laforet Harajuku's "Market of Love and Madness" (愛と狂気のマーケット). Produced through Blue Marble's open-call "Blue Marble Creator Matching Program," the work will be exhibited for approximately two years starting June 2026.

The piece uses mirror materials, acrylic, and lighting to create a three-dimensional facade space inspired by bonsai, generating multi-layered expressions through light and reflection. It draws a parallel between bonsai's way of shaping its own form within a limited space and the lives of people living their own way in the city. The work incorporates visitors and surrounding light, changing its appearance day by day.
