LACOSTE Harajuku Store Launches My Lacoste Artist Program Vol.10 with YOSHI47

The LACOSTE Harajuku store is marking the tenth installment of its My Lacoste Artist Program with a store-exclusive collection by YOSHI47, an artist active across a range of fields both in Japan and abroad. The original merchandise goes on sale from Saturday, July 18, 2026.

At LACOSTE Harajuku, the brand's DNA is reinterpreted through Harajuku's street culture, French craftsmanship, Japanese aesthetics, sports, fashion, art, creativity, music, and café culture, built around collaborations with a wide range of brands and people under the theme of "the chemistry created by connecting through the crocodile." My Lacoste Artist Program is part of that effort, teaming up with artists from various fields to release limited collections featuring crocodile motifs shaped by each artist's creativity. Previous volumes paired the brand with MHAK / Masahiro Akutagawa (Vol.1), Ken Kagami (Vol.2), Nana Soeda (Vol.3), MACCIU (Vol.4), HAyU / Manabu Ogawa (Vol.5), imase (Vol.6), ESOW (Vol.7), 5eL (Vol.8), and Godzilla (Vol.9), each bringing a distinct collection to life.

On this collaboration, YOSHI47 explained: "There's a character similar to a sidekick in what I usually draw — one I normally depict as a wolf or a stray dog — and that character has transformed into a crocodile here." Asked about the unexpected addition of an alien-like motif, he said, "I was working on this design during the finale of the novel The Three-Body Problem, so an alien crept in naturally." This lineup also introduces a mug, something rarely seen in his previous collaborations. Wanting to bring his hobby of pottery into a product, one connection led to another, resulting in a collaboration with Marucho Seitosho (丸朝製陶所), a workshop with a long history of crafting mugs and coffee cups within the Mino ware tradition. Aiming for "a bold, one-shot feel, different from the precise paintings I usually make," YOSHI47 designed a lineup where every catchy piece is fun just to wear.
