Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto Launches Sunday-Only Order Buffet Brunch

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto (Location: Myohoin Maesokecho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City; General Manager: Fanny Gible) has launched a Sunday-exclusive "Sunday Brunch" at the main dining restaurant "EMBA Kyoto Grill." This order-buffet-style brunch allows guests to order as many appetizers, mains, and desserts as they like, with an optional free-flow package that includes champagne.

Order Buffet Style: Choose Whatever You Want

The "Sunday Brunch" features 8 appetizers, 9 mains, and 4 desserts that guests can order as many times as they wish. Unlike traditional courses or à la carte menus, each dish is served in smaller portions, making it perfect for sharing various dishes with family, friends, or loved ones around the table. The ability to reorder favorite dishes is one of the unique appeals of this brunch experience, offering a luxurious way to spend your day off.

*Note: The number of menu items may vary slightly depending on the season.

Chef's Recommendation: "Crab Benedict"

Crab Benedict

The Crab Benedict is a must-try signature dish from Chef Harada. It features crispy-on-the-outside, creamy-on-the-inside crab cakes layered with daikon radish pickle salad, poached egg, and saffron hollandaise sauce made with rich, flavorful free-range eggs.

The rich, creamy egg combined with soft and juicy crab creates a perfect match in this standout brunch menu item.

Free-Flow Plan Including Champagne "Ruinart Blanc de Blancs"

Alcohol Free-Flow Plan +¥8,000

In Western countries where Sunday brunch originated, enjoying brunch with champagne is a common tradition. In addition to the Non-Alcoholic Free-Flow Plan (+¥3,000), guests can add an Alcohol Free-Flow Plan (+¥8,000) that includes the elegantly flavored champagne "Ruinart Blanc de Blancs" and a customizable "Bloody Mary."

Bloody Mary

Experience the extraordinary feeling of enjoying alcohol from midday, a luxury unique to holidays.

Featured Menu Items

The Weekend Smash Burger

"The Weekend Smash Burger" is one of the popular menu items. Made with house-baked buns sandwiching a wagyu beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheddar cheese, this easy-to-eat sized burger is accented with house-made spiced seasoning.

Greek Yogurt Parfait

The "Greek Yogurt Parfait" made with Kyoto's amazake (sweet rice wine) has a light, airy texture that makes you want to try it again and again.

It's a flavor you can enjoy at any timing - as an appetizer, after a meal, or anytime in between.

Other offerings include "Fluffy Pancake Caramelized," a Kyoto-style arrangement of the popular breakfast menu item with hojicha whipped cream, gyuhi (soft mochi), and kinako (roasted soybean flour), as well as "Steak & Eggs" featuring luxuriously aged wagyu beef thigh. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. Seasonal changes in accompanying vegetables and fruits are another distinctive feature.

About Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto opened on October 15, 2016, at the foot of Higashiyama, where the famous garden "Shakusuien," which has woven an 800-year history and is mentioned in The Tale of the Heike, stands. The hotel's main entrance begins with a 100-meter bamboo forest approach, and upon arriving at the lobby, a large window reveals the beautiful greenery of Shakusuien.

The hotel interior, designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, surrounds this garden and features 123 guest rooms and suites, plus 57 hotel residences, ensuring ample space. The stylish yet subtly Japanese-inspired spaces provide moments of tranquility. The newly renovated steakhouse "EMBA Kyoto Grill" (reopened in spring 2025) offers house-aged steaks, seasonal seafood, charcoal-grilled local vegetables, and the hotel's signature afternoon tea. "The Lounge & Bar" offers limited-edition original sweets and cocktails or mocktails in the evening. The sukiya-style tea room lounge "Fujiki" across the garden offers sweets using matcha during the day, and sake and champagne can be enjoyed from dusk while viewing the illuminated garden.

The hotel also features a pool, fitness center, and spa where guests can fully enjoy a resort atmosphere. Banquet facilities include a chapel with natural light and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 360 guests, offering stylish spaces suitable for weddings, conferences, and various receptions.
