A new deli shop is coming to Keio Department Store's Shinjuku location. "Ginza Aster Deli Keio Shinjuku" is set to open on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the basement deli section of the store.
Ginza Aster has built its reputation on Japanese-style Chinese cuisine — authentic Chinese dishes crafted to suit Japanese palates — since the restaurant's founding in Ginza. The new deli shop brings that same philosophy to a takeaway format, making it easy to pick up premium Chinese deli items on the way home from shopping.
The shop's lineup includes popular dim sum, yakisoba, and a colorful selection of Chinese side dishes. All products are prepared with care for both ingredients and cooking methods, aiming to bring the experience of upscale Chinese cuisine into the home.
The Shinjuku area also has Ginza Aster restaurant locations, so visitors can enjoy the brand's flavors for both dining in and taking home.

SDGs Initiative: MAP Technology for Freshness and Food Waste Reduction

Ginza Aster introduced Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) technology at its new "Ginza Aster Takumi Kobo" production facility, which began operations in March 2024. The deli shop's products use this packaging, combining great taste with sustainability.
MAP packaging replaces the air inside packs with a protective gas mixture (nitrogen and carbon dioxide), preserving freshness, flavor, and texture for longer periods without the use of preservatives. This extends shelf life and helps reduce food waste, contributing to SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
