Ginza Aster Kawaguchi Hikan, a Chinese restaurant that has served the Kawaguchi community since opening in 1990, reopened on April 1, 2026, following a major interior renovation. The restaurant had been closed since February 29, 2024, and the renewal coincides with the Ginza Aster brand marking its 100th anniversary in 2026.
The two-floor venue retains its original layout and large banquet hall while refreshing its general seating area to offer a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The space has been redesigned to suit a wide range of occasions, from corporate banquets to family dinners. The menu has also been updated to reflect contemporary tastes, while preserving the traditional flavors that regulars have long appreciated.
Dining Area

The general seating area features large windows offering panoramic views of Kawaguchi, along with spacious sofa seating designed for leisurely meals.

A tiered stepped layout allows guests to enjoy a comfortable level of privacy within the shared dining space. Both wide sofa seats and side sofa seats are available, making it easy for families and groups to settle in.
Banquet Hall and Private Rooms

A large banquet hall accommodating up to 120 guests is available, along with multiple private rooms suited for groups of around 10. Room sizes can be adjusted to the number of guests, making the venue adaptable for business entertaining, company gatherings, and family celebrations.
Signature Dishes
Using carefully selected ingredients that draw out the natural flavors of each item, the kitchen offers a menu that blends time-honored technique with a contemporary sensibility.

Premium Chinese cuisine classics such as braised whole shark fin and Peking duck are on offer, with the restaurant maintaining the authentic flavors these dishes are known for.

Crowd-pleasing options like shrimp in creamy mayonnaise sauce and the popular seafood yakisoba served in a clay pot round out the menu with refined yet approachable dishes.
