Globe-Trotter is opening a new store in Osaka's Shinsaibashi on April 25, 2026. The 27㎡ space is located on the second floor of "Quartz Shinsaibashi," a new landmark in the Shinsaibashi area. The brand draws its inspiration from early 20th-century London travel culture.
Store Design
The Edwardian era saw the spread of international travel by steamship and railway, and refined travel goods became a hallmark of upper-class lifestyles. The Shinsaibashi store takes its design cues from the cloakrooms of London clubs and hotels of that era. Brass details, a classic hotel cart, and parquet flooring evoke the lobbies and salons of British hotels, creating an atmosphere that captures the feeling of setting off on a journey. Turquoise blue walls and deep coral red shelving round out the ambiance, offering visitors a taste of modern British luxury that Globe-Trotter is known for.
Store-Limited Product
The Explorer Tote Bag <OSAKA> is designed as a versatile companion for daily outings, weekend getaways, and city walks, combining refinement with practicality. Inspired by Osaka — the brand's new base in Japan — it is available exclusively at the Shinsaibashi store.
Made from durable cotton canvas, the bag features a stable flat base and a roomy interior for everyday essentials. At the center of the body, an embroidered "Explorer Roundel" patch featuring the brand's mascot "Elephant John" lends a nostalgic, travel-journal quality to the design. The front corners are trimmed with delicate yellow stitching and gold-colored studs for an elegant touch. Inside the sturdy handles is a slip pocket for a smartphone, keys, or transit card. A trolley sleeve on the back allows the bag to slide over a suitcase's trolley handle for easy travel.
