Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay Celebrates the Release of Minions & Monsters with a Playful Summer Afternoon Tea

Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay (1-13-11 Nankokita, Suminoe-ku, Osaka; General Manager: Shinya Taguchi), an urban resort hotel in the Osaka Bay area, is hosting the limited-time "Minions & Monsters Afternoon Tea" from July 24 (Friday) to September 3 (Thursday), 2026. Held to mark the nationwide release of the movie Minions & Monsters on August 7 (Friday), 2026, the afternoon tea brings together playful sweets and tropical savories inspired by the Minions and the new character グーミー.

Alongside visuals that capture the Minions' chaotic charm, the lineup leans into banana and tropical fruit flavors for a menu with plenty of summer flair.

Sweets Featuring the Minions and New Character Designs

Pistachio Mousse

An endearing mousse modeled on the new character グーミー, offering rich pistachio flavor and a smooth texture — a dish that stands out as much for its looks as its taste.

Minion Macaron Cream Puff

A cute cream puff designed after Minions James and Henry, with a crisp shell and gently sweet cream filling that make it hard to resist a photo before eating.

The lineup also includes a Banana Tart made with the Minions' favorite fruit and a beach-inspired Tropical Fruit Jelly.

A Minion-Colored Parfait Featuring the Movie Logo, Served as a Set

A cookie designed with the movie's title logo is served alongside a parfait finished in the Minions' signature colors — one set per guest, included with the afternoon tea. Guests are encouraged to snap a photo of the parfait and cookie together before digging in.

Savories highlight Osaka-style kushikatsu, with matcha scones in グーミー's colors

Three savory items round out the set, including a raisin bread sandwich topped with banana chips (another Minion favorite) and an Osaka-style egg benedict finished with quail kushikatsu and hollandaise sauce. Scones in a matcha flavor that echoes グーミー's coloring are served alongside.

Limited postcards while supplies last

To mark the collaboration, guests who order the "Minions & Monsters Afternoon Tea" will receive a limited-edition postcard, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Limited to one postcard per guest. Quantities are limited, and the giveaway will end once the allotted supply runs out. The reverse side is blank; if mailing the card as a private postcard, write "Postcard" on the address side and affix the appropriate postage. Image shown is for illustration only.

Movie Release: August 7 (Friday) — Minions & Monsters

The latest release from Illumination, the studio behind The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and the Despicable Me series, brings the Minions back to the big screen this summer, with more chaos than ever before.

While traveling in search of the toughest, most villainous boss to serve, the Minions arrive in a Hollywood full of dreams. On a whim, they decide to make their own monster movie and summon a real monster — but the plan goes awry as dangerous monsters are unleashed one after another, throwing the city into a panic. A falling-out among the Minions themselves brings the group to the brink of its biggest crisis yet. Joining forces with the friends who matter most, they just might be able to save the day.
