Following the successful collaboration with Osaka-Kansai Expo's official character "Myaku-Myaku," GREEN×EXPO 2027 is launching an exciting new partnership with Sanrio Characters. The GREEN×EXPO 2027 Association (officially: The 2027 International Horticultural Exposition Association, Chairman: Yoshinobu Tsutsui, located in Yokohama's Naka Ward) and the 2027 International Horticultural Expo Master License Office (Representative Executive Officer: Nobuhiro Nishimura, located in Yokohama's Nishi Ward) will release the first wave of collaboration merchandise featuring Sanrio Characters and Toonk Toonk on November 7, 2025.
This collaboration brings together Hello Kitty and other beloved Sanrio characters with Toonk Toonk, the official mascot of GREEN×EXPO 2027, scheduled to be held in Yokohama in 2027. The first product line includes seven items featuring designs where Sanrio Characters and Toonk Toonk come together. The universal appeal of "Kawaii" (cute) culture now adds its charm to the official licensed merchandise of GREEN×EXPO 2027.
To commemorate this collaboration, EXPO 2027 Official Store Maruzen Marunouchi branch will host a special photo opportunity event. Visitors can take three-shot photos with both "Toonk Toonk" and "Hello Kitty" through an advance lottery reservation system.
