The women's brand GURTWEIN (operated by FIVE CO., LTD.) will hold the pop-up event "SS26 Pop-up / Couture dress private-order event" for their 2026 Spring/Summer collection at Isetan Shinjuku Store Main Building 3F Re-Style from February 18th (Wednesday) to February 24th (Tuesday), 2026.
Archive Dress Exhibition and Private Order Event with Couture Craftsmanship
This event will feature an exhibition and private order sale of 8 carefully selected evening dresses from the brand's archive. Based on experience at French haute couture maisons, these dresses showcase fringes created through over 300 manual cutting processes, three-dimensional embroidery, delicate feather decorations, and sculptural silhouettes achieved with the finest silk. These dresses, which can be called crystallizations of advanced handwork, can be viewed up close. This marks the brand's first private order event for the general public, made possible through the trust built with buyers since the brand's launch.

2026 Spring/Summer Collection
Inspired by sculptor Alexander Calder's "moving sculptures and mobiles," the collection is based on GURTWEIN's core of advanced European-style tailoring, incorporating lightness, transparency, airy ruffles, and combinations of materials with different specific gravities. Silhouettes that change with movement enhance the joy and excitement of wearing clothes.
Centered on the brand's signature outerwear and blouses, this season expands the lineup further. The brand's first wide pants pursue the ideal of "simple, wearable by anyone, yet with a unique silhouette." Development and testing continued for over 18 months with skilled tailor craftsmen. The calculated waist fit and innovative center pleats creating a three-dimensional silhouette symbolize the brand's identity as a tailored-focused label.

Brand Identity
"To wear one's pride. And to enjoy one's own beauty every day. What we put into each piece is fashion's original joy and the thrilling excitement that wells up the moment you put it on. GURTWEIN wishes to be the catalyst that supports that unwavering beauty."

About GURTWEIN
GURTWEIN was established by former Givenchy and Burberry Design Director Teruhiro Hasegawa and Jianying "Wing" Lai. The brand combines the "aesthetics centered on the wearer" and "theory that brings out the inherent beauty of fabrics" cultivated at European maisons with the sincere craftsmanship of Japanese artisans, proposing modern and intelligent femininity. Committed to domestic production, they pursue uncompromising creation down to the finest details.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Womenswear and an MA under the late Louise Wilson OBE, the founders won the LVMH graduate prize for their graduation collection. They started their career at Givenchy under Riccardo Tisci. Recognized for their skills, aesthetics, and dynamic design, Tisci entrusted them with a new division, involving them in all aspects of prêt-à-porter, haute couture, and VIP projects. They later transferred to Burberry as Design Director alongside Tisci. After returning to Japan, they established GURTWEIN.
