Tokyo's Gateway of Yaesu Gets a New Store
The facility is a large-scale complex with 51 floors above ground, completed after roughly 25 years of redevelopment, and is known for its convenient location with direct underground access to Tokyo Station. Alongside a commercial zone centered on restaurants, it also houses offices, a theater, a bus terminal, and medical facilities.
The new store aims to offer the distinctly Japanese dining experience of gyukatsu (beef cutlet) for everyday lunches and dinners, as well as for a meal during a trip to Tokyo.
Connected to Tokyo Station, a Wa-Inspired Space for Gyukatsu
The Tofrom Yaesu store has 40 seats in total. Its interior incorporates Japanese-style decor, creating a space where both domestic customers and overseas visitors to Tokyo can enjoy gyukatsu in a relaxed atmosphere. It can be used for a wide range of occasions, from business lunches and dinners to meals during sightseeing in Tokyo.

Gyukatsu Motomura continues to spread worldwide through social media, drawing attention not only in Japan but overseas as well, having been visited by K-pop idols and influencers from around the world. It currently operates 35 stores in Japan and 2 in Taiwan, and the Tofrom Yaesu store, opening on September 10, 2026, will become its 36th store in Japan.
A Self-Finished Dining Experience Unique to Gyukatsu Motomura
Gyukatsu Motomura serves beef cutlet fried to a medium-rare finish. Guests place it themselves on a hot stone plate set in front of them, searing it to their preferred doneness, and enjoy it with rock salt, mountain wasabi, and a special sauce, among other condiments.
The thin breading that wraps the beef uses finely ground, carefully selected breadcrumbs, finished to a light texture that brings out the beef's flavor. Served on a single tray together with condiments and small side dishes, the style reflects Japanese hospitality along with the entertainment of enjoying the meal.
