Wagokoro Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tomohiro Mori; Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market: 9271), which operates Japanese accessory brands including hair ornaments, wagasa (traditional Japanese umbrellas), and chopsticks across Japan under the vision of "Bringing Japanese Culture to the World," will open two new stores simultaneously in Asakusa's おまいり町, Taito-ku, Tokyo, in late August 2026: Hashiya Mansaku, a chopstick and chopstick-rest specialty store, and a second Hokusai Graphic, a Japanese umbrella and wagara goods store.
With this opening, Wagokoro's store count in the Asakusa area will reach four, joining its existing Kanzashi-ya WARGO Asakusa Shin-Nakamise and Hokusai Graphic Asakusa Kannon-dori locations. Asakusa draws large numbers of domestic and international visitors, and the company aims to share the appeal of Japanese traditional culture and craftsmanship with more of them through this expanded lineup.
Hashiya Mansaku: A Chopstick Specialty Store Featuring Traditional Craftsmanship From Across Japan
Hashiya Mansaku is a specialty brand built around the concept of "a Japanese souvenir," offering chopsticks and chopstick rests made with traditional craftsmanship and artisan skill from around the country. The lineup includes lacquered chopsticks such as Wajima-nuri, Tsugaru-nuri, and Wakasa-nuri, along with Kyo-take (Kyoto bamboo) chopsticks and chopstick rests made from Kiyomizu-yaki and Kutani-yaki ware, drawing on traditional techniques from across Japan. The brand also carries items made from rare materials such as Yoshino cedar, Yakusugi cedar, and kuromoji, with more than 800 items in stock spanning everyday pieces to gifts.
The new Asakusa store will offer this lineup to the many domestic and international visitors passing through one of Japan's leading tourist destinations, sharing the appeal of Japanese food culture and traditional craftsmanship, along with souvenirs and gifts suited to a range of tastes and uses.

Hokusai Graphic: Second Store in the Asakusa Area
Hokusai Graphic is a Japanese umbrella brand built around bringing Japanese traditional beauty into modern lifestyles, offering original designs inspired by the ukiyo-e of Katsushika Hokusai as well as the four seasons, nature, and traditional Japanese patterns. The lineup centers on long and folding umbrellas, including versions usable in both rain and sun, along with wagara (Japanese-pattern) goods that combine functionality and design.
This new location will be Hokusai Graphic's second store in the Asakusa area. Making use of its location in a well-known tourist destination, the brand aims to share Japanese aesthetic sensibility and craftsmanship with visitors from Japan and abroad.

Asakusa: Sharing Japanese Culture With the World
Asakusa, home to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street, is one of Japan's leading tourist destinations, drawing visitors from around the world in search of Japanese culture.
Wagokoro has previously operated Kanzashi-ya WARGO Asakusa Shin-Nakamise and Hokusai Graphic Asakusa Kannon-dori in the area, bringing traditional Japanese culture into modern lifestyles. With these two new stores opening at the same time, the company's Asakusa lineup will reach four locations, each drawing on its own brand identity to share the appeal of Japanese craftsmanship while offering visitors a new way to enjoy Japanese culture while exploring the area on foot.
