MUSASHI JAPAN Opens Japanese Knife Store in Osaka's Namba Ebisubashi Area

MUSASHI JAPAN, a Japanese knife brand operated by TAIMATSU Co., Ltd., opened a new store — MUSASHI JAPAN Osaka Namba Ebisubashi — in the Namba area of Osaka on April 30, 2026.

A New Location in the Heart of Osaka Namba

The Namba Ebisubashi area is known not just as a tourist destination but as a place that embodies the essence of Osaka itself. Along the Dotonbori River, the area is home to towering neon signs, a food walk culture, comedy and entertainment, and a shopping culture that dates back to the Edo period.

Ebisubashi Shopping Street in particular has roots as a pilgrimage route for the Toka Ebisu festival since the Edo era, with traditions of "good fortune" and "prosperous business" woven into its character. Along its approximately 370 meters, long-established shops and contemporary culture coexist, creating a distinctive atmosphere where tradition and modernity naturally intersect.

A Calm Japanese Space Amid Osaka's Energy

The store interior uses bright, soft wood-grain materials as its base, creating a warm, Japanese-style atmosphere. Despite being located in the lively streets of Namba, stepping inside reveals a calm, welcoming ambiance. A substantial stone table is placed at the center of the store, designed to highlight the presence of the Japanese knives themselves and the beauty of the artisanal craftsmanship behind them.

Connecting Japanese Culture and the World

With its new Osaka location, MUSASHI JAPAN aims to serve as a bridge for visitors exploring Osaka and Japanese traditional craftsmanship. Beyond tourism, the store is expected to contribute to promoting understanding of Japanese culture, raising awareness of traditional craft industries, passing on artisan culture, and fostering multicultural exchange. The store seeks to offer a memorable experience as part of an Osaka trip while acting as a point of contact for sharing Japanese culture globally.
