HAY has introduced the Bund Sofa, an Asia-exclusive addition to its lineup, available from April 6, 2026 (Monday). The collection comes in three types — 1 Seater, 2 Seater, and Ottoman — and is carried at HAY TOKYO, HAY OSAKA, and the HAY ONLINE STORE.
The Bund Sofa takes its name from The Bund (外灘), the landmark waterfront area of Shanghai, and was designed with compact urban living in mind. Rooted in a Nordic aesthetic, its soft silhouette and rounded edges bring a calm, gentle presence to any interior.
A deep seat, low armrests, and a legged frame construction deliver a relaxed, lounge-like sitting experience. Raising the body off the floor creates a visual lightness that makes spaces feel more open and uncluttered.
The upholstery is available in multiple fabric options. Leg colors come in four choices — Oak, Cobalt Blue, Orange, and Black — with the colorful wooden legs adding a playful accent to the overall look.
High-density, durable foam cushions balance comfort with long-term quality. The Ottoman can be paired with the sofa or used as a standalone piece, offering flexibility to suit different lifestyles and room layouts.
