The Sumikko Gurashi collaboration sweets buffet, which proved hugely popular last year, is coming back to Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk's 4th floor Brasserie & Lounge Ciela. Running from July 4 (Saturday) to August 30 (Sunday), 2026, this year's event is themed around "Starry Night Walk" (星空さんぽ), imagining the Sumikko Gurashi characters wandering beneath a glittering night sky.
The event runs in two formats: a "Sumikko Gurashi Starry Night Walk Sweets Buffet" held on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and a "Sumikko Gurashi Starry Night Walk Night Buffet" offered exclusively on Saturday evenings.
Sumikko Gurashi Starry Night Walk Sweets Buffet
The daytime sweets buffet offers around 20 types of sweets and savories, with something to enjoy for all ages. Every guest receives an exclusive Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk limited-edition sticker as a gift. A special plan including an A4-sized "Starry Night Walk" clear file is also available, limited to 30 guests per day.
The sweets lineup is inspired by the Sumikko Gurashi characters wandering through a sparkling night sky. "Resting on the Clouds" layers a sponge base with tangy berry jam and a mochi-textured white chocolate mousse, finished with ramune candies depicting the Sumikko characters. "Starry Sky Cake" features a chocolate mousse encasing orange jam, coated in pink chocolate and decorated with star- and crescent moon-shaped chocolate pieces, evoking the soft pink hues of the sky just after sunset.
"Sparkling Starry Night Walk" is a shortcake topped with sliced fresh melon and light whipped cream, piped with thin cream ribbons and adorned with chocolate pieces depicting Penguin?, Shirokuma, Neko, Tokage, and Tonkatsu out for a stroll. "Sumikko Starry Sky Collection" features cookies painted with various Sumikko Gurashi characters in expressions inspired by the "Starry Night Walk" theme. "Sparkling Sand" wraps juicy grapes in a vanilla-scented cake and is finished with a piping of vanilla ganache. Alongside the sweets, six savory items are on offer, including an "Ebi Katsu Burger", a "Burrito", and "Mini Nikuman", each stamped with a Sumikko Gurashi brand mark.

Sumikko Gurashi Starry Night Walk Night Buffet
For guests aged 20 and over, the night buffet runs on Saturday evenings. It combines the Ciela dinner buffet with Sumikko Gurashi-themed sweets, accompanied by a non-alcoholic welcome drink inspired by the Milky Way, made with blue curaçao. Night buffet attendees receive the same limited-edition sticker as daytime guests, plus a travel pouch featuring the "Starry Night Walk" illustration — a great option for adult fans who want to enjoy Sumikko Gurashi alongside a full dinner.
