Italian luxury leather brand Valextra, founded in Milan, is teaming up with The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka on a special collaboration afternoon tea, available for a limited time this summer.
A Timeless Aesthetic, Reimagined for Afternoon Tea
Since its founding in 1937, Valextra has pursued a timeless beauty unswayed by passing trends — pared-down, minimalist forms, exceptional craftsmanship, and a quiet, unwavering elegance. This sensibility lives on in the brand's iconic Iside bag.
For this collaboration, The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka's pastry team has created a special afternoon tea inspired by the refined world of the Iside bag. Sweets and savories drawing on Pergamena White, Valextra's signature color, express the brand's serene, sophisticated aesthetic.
The menu draws on seasonal fruit grown in Kyushu's rich natural environment, including shine muscat, figs, pears, and blackberries. Among the creations is a pistachio ice lollipop filled with Fukuoka-grown blackberry confiture, alongside a range of dishes that bring out the character of each ingredient.
Italian sophistication meets Japanese craftsmanship in this afternoon tea, offering guests the chance to experience Valextra's timeless elegance alongside The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka's signature hospitality — a special afternoon where Milan's refinement and the bounty of Kyushu come together, set in an elegant space overlooking the Fukuoka sky.
