HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU, a hostel-hotel nestled in the residential streets of Tokyo's Yanesen area (Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi), has revamped its breakfast menu starting June 8, 2026. Operating under the concept "Meet Local. Feel Global.," the hotel's attached café — GRAPHY NEZU CAFE & LOUNGE — now offers a new breakfast menu themed around "Comfort & Discovery," blending familiar morning staples with locally sourced ingredients.
The new menu draws on produce and goods from beloved neighborhood vendors, including breads from "Bakery Miura" and "Nezu no Pan," bacon from a nearby butcher, and canned mackerel from a coffee shop affiliated with the hotel. Staff share stories about the local origins of each ingredient, creating natural conversation starters that often inspire guests to visit those shops during the day.
The breakfast is available to all café visitors, not just hotel guests.

Three Ways to Enjoy the New Breakfast

① Local Experience — Connected to the Neighborhood
Each plate features ingredients with traceable, local origins. Staff naturally weave in the story behind each item — "This comes from a shop just around the corner" — sparking conversation and guiding guests toward places worth visiting on their day's walk through Yanesen.
② Visual Delight
The plating style emphasizes height, dimension, and vibrant seasonal colors. The presentation is designed to energize guests visually before they head out to explore the neighborhood for the day.
③ Variety to Suit Every Lifestyle
The lineup covers a wide range of dietary preferences, from a vegan-friendly hummus and vegetable open sandwich to a hearty meat plate for those who want a filling start to an active day.
New Menu Lineup (5 Items)
1. Open Sandwich — Guacamole & Hummus: ¥1,350 (tax included)
A toasted bread with a satisfying crunch paired with smooth, creamy guacamole. Brightened with lemon and garlic, and finished with cottage cheese, sprouts, and black pepper, this vibrant green open sandwich makes for a fresh, visually striking start to the day.

2. Open Sandwich — Hummus & Seasonal Grilled Vegetables: ¥1,350 (tax included)
A colorful, vegetable-packed plate designed to be visually uplifting. This vegan-friendly option features a variety of grilled seasonal vegetables on a housemade chickpea hummus, finished with cumin powder and oregano for an exotic, aromatic touch.

3. Hot Sandwich — Saba Melt: ¥1,350 (tax included)
Made with canned mackerel from a coffee shop associated with the hotel, the filling is lightly spiced to balance the richness of the fish, making it approachable for both adults and children. Crispy toasted bread, juicy tomato slices, and melted cheese come together in each bite.

4. Roast Pork & Spinach and Bacon Quiche: ¥1,500 (tax included)
A hearty meat plate for guests who want a satisfying morning meal. The tender, juicy pork shoulder is seared at the time of serving for a fragrant, golden finish.

5. French Toast (Three Variations): ¥1,350 (tax included)
Available in three combinations:
- Bacon & Onion × Orange Milk Tea Bread — A savory-sweet style using locally sourced smoky bacon and caramelized onion, finished with maple syrup and black pepper.

- Mixed Berry × Croissant — A classic sweet combination featuring mixed berries and maple syrup.

- Matcha Tiramisu × Yomogi Daifuku Bread — Rich mascarpone and matcha powder on yomogi (mugwort) bread with sweet azuki beans, a nod to the current matcha trend.

Supervised by Food Designer Tomoko Ozawa ("Moko-Meshi")
The new breakfast menu was developed in collaboration with local food designer Tomoko Ozawa, known by the name "Moko-Meshi." A former interior designer who went independent in 2010, she opened "SLOW GELATO in bulk" — a mixed gelato and baked goods shop tucked in a backstreet of Nezu — in 2021, and continues to run it today. Her deep familiarity with the Nezu neighborhood informs each dish on the menu.
