Hotel New Grand in Yokohama will offer the "Rose Afternoon Tea" at Lobby Lounge La Terrasse on the first floor of the main building from May 1 (Friday) to June 30 (Tuesday), 2026. Inspired by a vivid rose garden, the set brings together a colorful selection of sweets and savories.
The sweet highlights include a three-layered verrine with rose, blood peach, and coconut; a raspberry mousse with a vivid red glaze; a pistachio and blackberry macaron; a hazelnut and caramelized apricot roll; and an almond diamond-style cookie — all incorporating ingredients from the rose family. A chocolate strawberry canelé and pear with Earl Grey bonbon chocolat round out the sweet offerings.
On the savory side, a Hyuganatsu citrus cream cheese and ratatouille cornet arranged like a bouquet makes a striking presentation, while a French-toast-style quiche with Bologna sausage and leek (Pain Perdu Salé) adds a hearty touch. A purple cabbage and ume marinade completes the lower tier.
The popular scones come in two varieties — Earl Grey and peach, and plain — served with generous portions of clotted cream and peach jam.
