Kinoene Farm, located on the grounds of Iinuma Honke in Shisui-machi, Chiba, is holding its annual blueberry picking experience from Saturday, June 6, 2026. The event continues through September 6, offering two different blueberry varieties depending on the time of visit.
In June, visitors can pick Highbush blueberries — a variety known for its large berries and well-balanced sweet-tart flavor. From July onward, Rabbiteye blueberries become available; these are slightly smaller to medium-sized and turn exceptionally sweet when fully ripe. Farm staff are on hand to guide first-time visitors, so even those with no prior picking experience can enjoy the activity with confidence.
After the picking session, blueberry shakes and other blueberry-based sweets can be purchased at the Iinuma Honke directly-operated shops, "Kinoene Magari-ya" and "Kinoene Omoya," located on the same premises. Families, groups of friends, and solo visitors are all welcome.
