A special exhibition titled "Three Worlds of Fragrance Born from Natural Elements" runs from October 16 (Friday) to November 14 (Saturday), 2026, at ISSEY MIYAKE SHINJUKU | SHIKAKU on the 2nd floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
ISSEY MIYAKE PARFUMS was born in 1992 as a fragrance brand created by designer Issey Miyake, inspired by the natural elements essential to life. Carrying on the pursuit of essence found in his clothing designs, the brand continues to propose new fragrances suited to modern life.
The exhibition introduces three of the brand's representative fragrance series, each born from a different natural element or idea.
- L'EAU D'ISSEY: The brand's first fragrance, themed on water
- LE SEL D'ISSEY: Inspired by salt
- LUMIERE D'ISSEY: Launched in 2026 under the concept "Wearing Light"
Beyond the scents themselves, the bottle designs, the attention to materials and the creativity behind them all reflect a distinctive worldview.
What to Expect at the Exhibition
Against the backdrop of visuals for "LES EAUX D'ISSEY EAU ESSENTIELLE" by photographer 梅本健太, eight fragrances released between 1992 and 2026 are displayed on shared silver fixtures, each presented like an individual work of art. Visitors can view them from various angles.
The exhibition also features interviews with perfumers and designers and image videos, along with a space where visitors can try the fragrances freely. As a pop-up-style exhibition, products are available for purchase on site.

Moving through the worlds of the three fragrances, visitors can experience how the creations of ISSEY MIYAKE PARFUMS have continued to expand over time, along with the worldview behind them.
