A new interior lighting series, KANEKA OLED CRAFTS, went on sale in Japan on May 13th. The series uses KANEKA OLED panels—organic EL (OLED) light sources developed by Kaneka Corporation—and was designed by Tadashi Hoshina, founder of arflex Japan and current head of design firm C.O.D.
About KANEKA OLED
The KANEKA OLED panel emits uniform light across its entire surface, creating depth and a sense of dimensionality in the surrounding space. The soft, diffused light generates minimal glare, and its natural color tone allows the true colors and textures of objects to come through clearly.
A Blend of Light and Craftsmanship
KANEKA OLED CRAFTS was designed as a housing for this distinctive light source. The series draws on traditional craftsmanship, with handmade touches that give each piece a rich, individual character. When lit, the lights produce layered shadows that add atmosphere to a room; when switched off, they remain as understated interior objects.
The initial lineup consists of three products:
- T-Lamp (tabletop portable light) — available in S and L sizes
- 4SIDE (floor light)

Future plans include expanding the lineup with additional tabletop lights and pendant lights.
