Nongshim Japan's Shin Ramyun has been added to the menu as the 37th installment of Kappa Sushi's "Authentic Ramen Series" — the conveyor-belt sushi chain operated by Kappa Create Co., Ltd., part of the Colowide Group. For a limited time from Thursday, September 17 to Wednesday, December 9, 2026, all Kappa Sushi locations will offer three items in the new collaboration series, "Seafood Shin Ramyun With Sea Bream Broth."
A Sea Bream Broth Shin Ramyun Only a Sushi Restaurant Could Make
The new collaboration menu combines the mini-size "Shin Ramyun Mini Cup" — known for its "umakara" (spicy-savory) flavor — with a sea bream broth carefully extracted from the bones of freshly cut red sea bream at Kappa Sushi, creating the three-item "Seafood Shin Ramyun With Sea Bream Broth" series.
Behind the authentic Korean spicy-savory flavor, the refined umami of red sea bream comes through — a bowl only possible at a sushi restaurant, and unique to Kappa Sushi. The mini cup size is just right for finishing off a sushi meal.
There's room to enjoy it your own way, too. The item that comes with a "flavor-change plate" lets you bring out the seafood umami with imitation crab and shiso, or add richness with parmesan cheese, changing the flavor with every bite. And to finish, there's "oi-shari" — extra rice you can stir into the remaining soup to turn it into a spicy-savory rice porridge, so you can enjoy every last drop of the soup.

About Shin Ramyun
Shin Ramyun is an instant ramen manufactured and sold by Nongshim, a company headquartered in South Korea. It launched in Korea in 1986 and became a major hit as the first Korean product to be sold on its spiciness, and today it is sold not only in Korea but also in Japan, the United States, Europe, and other markets around the world. Nongshim currently holds a 56% share of the Korean instant noodle market including Shin Ramyun, and has held the No. 1 position for more than 30 years (*). "Spicy Happiness In Noodles" is the brand's global catchphrase, expressing the wish for Shin Ramyun to be enjoyed in even more countries. True to the "Shin" (spicy) character that symbolizes the product, it's known for its sharp, spicy kick. The "spiciness" of carefully selected chili peppers, the "umami soup" packed with a blend of original spices and savory ingredients, and the exquisite balance of "flavor" and "spice" come together in its addictive "umakara" taste. The lineup ranges from standard bagged noodles to convenient cup noodles and a soup-less yakisoba-style option.
