Creative Resort Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture; Representative Director: Shinichi Kato) has opened Vegan VISAI RAMEN (美菜ラーメン), a vegan ramen specialty shop, in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The new shop is the company's fourth location in the Hida Takayama area.
VISAI RAMEN centers its menu on two types of ramen that draw out the umami, aroma, and color of plant-based ingredients, offered across three course menus. The shop also plans to pursue third-party vegan certification in the future.
A Place to Enjoy a Meal, Whatever Your Diet
People choose what they eat based on their own values, tastes, cultural background, and lifestyle.
VISAI RAMEN was created to support that diversity — vegans, of course, but also anyone curious about plant-based eating or looking to try a different kind of ramen can enjoy a relaxed meal here.
The shop draws out the umami, aroma, texture, and color of plant-based ingredients to create a satisfying bowl of ramen.
Alongside an à la carte menu for casually enjoying ramen, the shop offers three courses to enjoy dishes and drinks at a leisurely pace, giving both visitors to Takayama and local residents a new dining option.
The Shop's Approach: Nature to Bowl
Under the concept "NATURE TO BOWL," VISAI RAMEN values the flavor of each ingredient on its own, layering in care and effort to create a delicate, memorable aftertaste.
Every sip, every bite, every dish and bowl builds toward a single dining experience — which is why the shop recommends its courses, pairing the ramen with appetizers, drinks, and dessert, rather than ordering ramen on its own.
Drinks are chosen to pair well with the food, centered on products made locally in Hida Takayama, so guests can enjoy a variety of food and drink pairings.

Two Signature Bowls: Forest Clear-Broth Ramen and Satoyama Tantan Ramen
Forest Clear-Broth Ramen (森の清湯ラーメン)
A clean, delicate bowl built on a sharp soy sauce flavor, layered with the umami of mushrooms and vegetables in careful balance.
House-made vegetable dashi is combined with a plant-based soy sauce tare and aromatic oil, expressing the delicate fragrance and aftertaste unique to plant-based ingredients.
Satoyama Tantan Ramen (里山の坦々ラーメン)
A fragrant, rich bowl built on a robust miso base, layered with the depth of sesame and nuts and the spice of Sichuan pepper and chili oil.
Made with plant-based ingredients such as soy milk and soy meat, it balances richness and spice while still letting the flavor of the ingredients come through.

Three Courses to Match How You Want to Dine
VISAI RAMEN offers three courses, varying in the number of dishes and style of dining.
美菜 Course — ¥6,800
A special course to fully savor the appeal of VISAI RAMEN.
美華 Course — ¥4,800
A recommended course to enjoy the color and satisfaction of the ingredients.
美陽 Course — ¥2,800
A standard course to casually enjoy a gentle flavor.
For any course, guests can choose Forest Clear-Broth Ramen or Satoyama Tantan Ramen as the main dish. Ramen is also available à la carte for ¥2,500 each.
A Store Design in Washi and Deep Green
The interior combines a white-based layout with the brand's deep green color, expressing the gentleness of plant-based cuisine alongside a quiet, Japanese-style beauty.
The shop's symbol combines a plant leaf, ramen noodles, and chopsticks within a single circle. The Japanese shop name is paired with "VISAI RAMEN" and "Vegan" in English, designed to be easy to understand for visitors from overseas as well.

Comment from the Company Representative
"Ramen is one of the food cultures that many visitors to Japan look forward to. At VISAI RAMEN, rather than treating plant-based food as something you give something up for, we want to share the umami, color, and post-meal comfort that plant-based cooking can uniquely offer. We hope to build a shop that both visitors to Takayama and local residents are glad to have as one more option for their meals."
— Shinichi Kato, Representative Director, Creative Resort Co., Ltd.
Comment from Toshiya Takahashi, Chairman of the Made in Japan Halal Support Council
"VISAI RAMEN, born in Hida Takayama, is a wonderful effort to support the diverse diets and lifestyles of people both in Japan and abroad. Its vegan ramen, drawn carefully from the blessings of nature, offers many people a new dining option. With vegan certification planned for the future, I expect it to lead the way in making food more accessible to everyone, and to contribute further to the region and to tourism."
