The Lounge & Dining "SORAE" on the 2nd floor of Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu (Musashino City, Tokyo) is hosting a limited-time "Lemon Afternoon Tea" from June 1 (Monday) to August 31 (Monday), 2026. The summer-exclusive menu draws on lemon's bright fragrance and pleasant tartness to create a refreshing seasonal teatime experience.

The sweet selection showcases lemon in a variety of forms, each offering a different flavor and texture. Highlights include a verrines layering mango passion jelly, panna cotta, and aloe lemon jelly for a visually fresh and cooling effect; a tarte citron with a pleasingly sharp tartness; an opera-style lemon cake combining lemon buttercream and rich chocolate; a lemon vanilla mousse with a gentle sweetness and smooth finish; and a lemon cream cookie sandwich with a light, airy bite. The session opens with a sparkling lemon tea as the welcome drink, its fizz and clean finish setting the mood for the afternoon. All teas on the menu use leaves sourced from Tea Market G.Clef, a specialty tea shop with deep roots in Kichijoji, adding a local touch to the hotel experience.

The afternoon tea is served in SORAE's open atrium dining space, offering a comfortable, airy setting for a summer teatime.
