Kikumasamune Launches Sake and Salt Bath Powder for General Sale

Kikumasamune Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Higashinada Ward, Kobe; President Jirozaemon Kano) has begun general sales of its "Kikumasamune Sake Brewery Bathing Powder: Sake & Salt" on Monday, March 2, 2026. The product had previously been available at select variety shops and drugstores since October 2025, and has been met with strong customer response.

The powdered bath additive combines rice fermented liquid (Japanese sake) with Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) as moisturizing ingredients. By pairing sake — long prized as a skin-beautifying ingredient — with Epsom salt, known for its warming bath effects, the product is designed to bring a relaxing, unwinding bath experience to everyday life.

The formula includes 14 types of amino acids found in sake, further enhanced with 8 plant-derived ingredients and papaya enzyme as additional moisturizing components. It aims to condition not only the mind, but also to leave skin feeling smooth and supple. The powder creates a distinctive silky texture that is rare among powdered bath products, producing a milky-white bath color that evokes the atmosphere of a natural hot spring.
