Aqua Ignis Sendai (Fujitsuka, Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) is launching the FUJITSUKA Gel Cream, a skincare product developed in collaboration with a student team utilizing hot spring water, starting February 21, 2026 (Saturday). To commemorate the release, a special event will be held for three days from February 21 (Saturday) to February 23 (Monday, national holiday).
Background of the Event
This commemorative launch event celebrates the release of the FUJITSUKA Gel Cream, following last year's FUJITSUKA Lotion. The first product, FUJITSUKA Lotion, took two years from conception to sale and was launched in February last year. Despite being available only for on-site purchase, the lotion sold 743 bottles in the first three days, exceeding the initial target by over 150%. It gained support from hot spring enthusiasts and also benefited from regional support, with many saying, "We want to support the first skincare product made in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City."
Following the positive reception of the lotion, the team developed the FUJITSUKA Gel Cream as the second product. At the event, students will directly share the product's features and appeal. This offers an opportunity to experience skincare utilizing the benefits of hot spring water while learning about the significance of product development using regional resources.

In addition to the student-led skincare experience, on February 21 (Saturday), visitors can experience BIPP®, a concept product developed by bionto, Inc., also from the Tohoku region. The spring quality of Fujitsuka no Yu in the Fujitsuka district of Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City is "Sodium - Chloride/Hydrogen Carbonate Spring," which corresponds to a beauty spring. Manufacturing partner Fermenstation Ltd. is a company gaining attention for its fermentation technology utilizing unused resources. Through the company's proprietary technology, they incorporate "Rice Mash Extract (*1)" extracted from organic brown rice cultivated in fallow fields in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. This extract contains ceramides and 16 types of free amino acids essential for skin moisturization, preventing dryness, supporting barrier function, and protecting skin from external irritants.
