From Sunday, November 1, 2026, a demonstration trial using a next-generation digital mirror will be held at Kirarina Keio Kichijoji, a shopping complex directly connected to Kichijoji Station on the Keio Inokashira Line. The trial is run jointly by Keio SC Creation Co., Ltd. and coordimate Inc.
Two mirrors in total will be installed, one in a common area of the building and one inside an apparel shop. Visitors simply have a full-body photo taken in front of the mirror to casually try an AI fashion diagnosis and a virtual try-on of recommended outfits. When a visitor picks a style they like, the screen shows the shops in the building that carry items of a similar taste and where they are. The trial will examine whether this kind of digital experience leads people to visit the shops in the building and to talk with the shop staff.
Background of the Trial
"I don't know what suits me." "Talking to a shop assistant makes me a little nervous." Choosing clothes often comes with small hesitations like these. For shop staff, too, it is not easy to grasp the tastes of a first-time customer in a short time.
Kirarina Keio Kichijoji has been considering a new initiative to be carried out together with its tenants, with the aim of giving people a reason to visit the apparel shops in the building, increasing contact with shop staff and supporting service in the shops.
coordimate develops services as a partner that thinks through clothing choices together with the customer, under the mission of "creating a world full of people who can decide with confidence because they can fail safely." The two companies aim for a shopping experience in which AI creates the starting point and shop staff take over from there, so that visitors can choose a piece that feels like their own with confidence. They will examine the effects of the initiative together.
The next-generation digital mirror has already been trialed in several commercial facilities in the Tokyo metropolitan area. In this trial, visitors can also try a virtual try-on that lets them see the recommended outfits on themselves.
What You Can Experience With the Digital Mirror

1. Stand in Front of the Mirror and Have a Full-Body Photo Taken
Stand in front of the mirror as you would in front of any ordinary mirror, and have a full-body photo taken by following the on-screen guidance.
2. AI Fashion Diagnosis
The AI evaluates the outfit you are wearing that day and gives you a score and advice.
3. AI-Recommended Outfits and an Instant Virtual Try-On
The recommended outfits were devised by about 40 professional stylists belonging to coordimate, with reference to products of brands handled by the shops in the building (items listed on official online shops and so on), and then taught to the AI. From these outfits, the AI chooses in real time to suit each participant, then generates and presents a virtual try-on image.
Note: The outfits shown are not proposals from individual shops. They are images generated by coordimate's AI, supervised by professional stylists with reference to brand products, and may differ from the actual products.
4. From a Style You Like to the Shop
When you select a style you like, the names and locations of shops in the building that carry items of a similar taste are shown on a map. People who try the experience will also receive a LINE coupon, valid at the participating apparel shops, from the official LINE account of Kirarina Keio Kichijoji.
Notes:
- A smartphone is required to take part and to check the results.
- The diagnosis results and recommended outfits can be checked not only on the digital mirror screen but also on your own smartphone.
- The recommended outfits are not chosen by each shop and may not match the items in the shops.
- The virtual try-on is a synthesized image created by AI. The actual fit and sizing may differ.
- To receive the LINE coupon, you need the LINE app and must add the official LINE account of Kirarina Keio Kichijoji as a friend. The LINE coupon has terms of use.
Connecting to Service by Shop Staff
This initiative is not meant to complete the shopping experience with AI alone.
- Customer: Gets a diagnosis at the digital mirror and picks up hints about styles that may suit them.
- Reason to visit: The location of a shop close to the chosen style and the LINE coupon are expected to encourage visits.
- Service: Showing the diagnosis result on a smartphone to the staff is expected to become a conversation starter, along the lines of "this is the kind of look I've been curious about."
- Suggestions: The aim is for the diagnosis result to serve as a reference when staff make suggestions from the items in the shop.
By having AI create the starting point for a conversation, the two companies will examine whether customers find it easier to approach staff and whether it supports staff suggestions. They will also check whether this combination of "digital and human service" creates value for the facility, the tenants and the customers alike.
In addition, statistical data that does not identify individuals, such as the time of day of the experience, age group and trends in fashion taste, will be visualized, and its potential for understanding visitor needs and for tenants' sales floor planning will also be examined.
